A great holiday experience! 👍 - This is a really fun, interesting workshop and you have a unique souvenir to take away. JB was friendly, informative and made the process of selecting our designs and carving the marble really easy even though we had no experience with the tools.

Highly recommend the marble worship! - We loved the marble workshop! JB gave us a much better understanding of marble and, after helping us with ideas on what to carve, was wonderful at guiding us towards our vision. We are a family of 4, visiting with 2 teenagers, and they loved this experience. I asked them what they would rate it and immediately got the response “10 out of 10!”. JB gave us instructions on how to use the various tools and helped us every step of the way. We all chose very different projects and were happy with the results. Highly recommend this experience!

The highlight of our holiday - We really enjoyed this workshop in Paros. We attended as mother and daughter, didn’t understand how 3 hours passed. JB is very helpful and encouraging. The information he gave was very interesting. Be careful with the power tools…

Super fun cultural and artistic experience! - My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. We learned some basics of modern marble carving techniques and were able to both walk away with an individualized finished product we were proud of. Our instructor educated us on the differences in marbles collected from around the various islands as well as provided many ideas for how to get started on our own projects. We were so involved that the time flew by and our only regret was not having more time on the island to book a return visit and create more. We 100% recommend this awesome experience!

JB’s MARBLE — a must!!! - June 2024 JB’s Atelier-marble workshop was an awesome experience for our family of six ladies ages 11-66. JB briefly shared the unique qualities and history of marble from different islands in Greece—Naxos, Paros, followed by the safety guidelines and use of different tools to create a marble piece of your own. Two of us made crosses, one made an anchor, two made a jewelry bowl/crescent moon, and one made a votive candle holder. JB was knowledgeable, friendly, hands-on and patient with each one of us as we worked on our marble pieces. After a couple of hours of focused work, my 11 year old granddaughter accidentally pushed a little too hard on her jewelry dish and it broke in half. She was very very upset. My daughter in law tried consoling her, didn’t help. JB kindly said to her, this happens often, the marble didn’t want to be a bowl, it wanted to be something else. JB put a smile on her face and together they came up with the idea of a crescent moon, it turned out beautiful and she was very happy. It was a memorable experience for all of us and one that I would highly recommend. We stayed at Naoussa Bay Villas (loved it), and rented a car to explore various parts of Paros. Took us about 25 minutes to JB’s Marble from Naoussa—nice scenic drive. Fun, enjoyable and creative experience! - I travelled to Paros with my 21 year old daughter and a friend. This was one of the best things we did on Paros. JB was an excellent tutor of his craft. His outdoor studio overlooked the sail surfers down the beach in the late afternoon to sunset. JB had easy and more difficult designs done to inspire you. None of us had ever sculpted anything out of marble before. We now all have a little treasure we created ourselves. My only suggestion is to bring some water and a mask to keep from breathing in the marble dust. We did have to explain pieces at the airport. Best kept in the luggage not a handbag. I would rate this as a don't miss experience! Fantastic time!

Marble Marvel - Out of all my tours and activities in Greece, this one was the most unique. The host JB set us all up for success as we shaped our marble memorabilia out of rubble into our own special finalised art pieces that we get to keep and take back home. Even myself who is not very artistic made and polished a simple design I was very proud of. This workshop is really a must do for any art orientated person out there.

Master marble man! - Loved this activity with JB - a master craftsman, he made this novice class easy to learn and create something special in the 3 hours we had together. Come prepared with clothing you can get dirty and a mask to cover your face for the marble dust - one of a kind experience for sure !

In our two week trip... - In our two week trip around the Cycladic Islands, this was one of the coolest things we did!! JB welcomed us warmly and provided a brief yet interesting introduction to the history and significance of Parian marble. His knowledge and passion set the tone for an engaging and educational session. He showed us some sample creations and books of ideas, allowing us to pick our piece of marble and what we wanted to make. JB's patience, kindness, and laid-back demeanor made the experience truly special. He ensured that everyone in the group made what the wanted, offering individual guidance and support. Our kids, ages 15, 12, and 9 all really loved the experience too, and JB was so good at meeting each of them where they were at! Our 12 and 15 year olds worked largely independently and had no problem using the tools. Our 9 year old had a great time as well, but she was probably right on the cusp of who this would be appropriate for. JB was with her anytime she was using the tools (they are legit power tools!), so if you have two kids around this age, one any younger, or your child doesn't always listen to instruction or is overly excitable, it might be challenging, but all kids are different! The workshop itself was incredibly well-organized. JB never seemed rushed or overwhelmed, and despite being beginners, we felt confident and supported throughout. The satisfaction of transforming a raw piece of marble into a beautiful, personalized souvenir was immensely rewarding. The combination of creativity, craftsmanship, and the serene environment made this workshop an unforgettable highlight of our trip. We highly recommend JB’s marble workshop to anyone visiting Paros.
