Beautiful and warmly led experience, highly recommended! - A warm and inclusive experience. The host explained everything very well and led the ceremony in a very friendly yet respectful way. There was time for questions and hands-on experience too. We discovered afterwards that you can purchse a tea making set too (no sales pitch) and choose the colours and patterns. We will remember this experience fondly.

You should go - One of the highlights of our trip to Kanazawa. Very well explained, felt like we learnt a lot about the culture of tea ceremony. The treats and matcha were delicious. Around 50mins. Slightly pricey but would still recommend.

Nice intro to tea ceremony - Very wonderful experience in the beautiful gardens. I have been to traditional tea ceremonies in Japan before but my husband has not. The experience was just right and accessible to getting a glimpse of the tea ceremony.

A great way to experience a tea ceremony - I loved how intimate it was and I loved how clear it was when they were explaining every process in how to make tea and the history of the tea ceremony. It was very interesting and the hosts engaging. We would recommend this tea ceremony.

So much fun and... - So much fun and informative! The two hostesses were incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. They walked us through what could be a very somber process but they made it funny and interactive. The English translation was impeccable and they answered all of our really random questions. Also, for those with physical limitations, they do have stools/alternative seating if sitting on the ground is an issue. Don't be discouraged from attending!

Informative, enjoyable and a great location. - We wanted to do a tea ceremony in Japan and picked this one as it had good reviews but also as it was inside beautiful Kenrouken garden. What a great experience. My wife and I lesrned about the history of the ceremony and observed it being performed. We then even got to have a try ourselves. Highly recommended.

Beyond just tea! - This session was beyond learning how to make a good proper matcha tea- it was learning about the culture that goes behind it and every step that occupies it. It was a very unique experience that made us all appreciate the Japanese tea ceremony so much more. It’s accompanied by an English speaking guide which made a world of a difference. If u are around the area, do try to go for it !

Experience not to be missed - The ceremony was very relaxing and interesting, the history and fascinating Japanese culture is told. You are shown how to make tea and then try to make it yourself. All accompanied by delicious desserts. Thank you so much for the welcome.

Relaxing and learned so much! - Really worth while, good to try as an alternative to your morning coffee. It was relaxing, I felt welcomed and I learnt so much in the space of an hour. It's important to note that you need to pay entry to the gardens to get to the tea house which are well worth visiting as well but I had visited the gardens the day before so had to pay for the entry fee twice.
