Besides just learning how to cook, you also get a wholesome experience from start and all the way to the end, thanks to the very friendly and knowledgeable chef with his translation setup. I suggest you try this experience so you can deeper enjoy japanese cuisine in the future at a restaurant or at home. :3 Thanks for an awesome experience. Fun authentic Kanazawa cuisine class - Can't recommend this cooking class highly enough! Seiji was great fun, and really made us feel at ease trying new authentic Japanese recipes! His is very approachable with a great sense of humour. If he can get me to make great meals, anyone can do it! He speaks good English, but also uses a great real-time translation program that is displayed interactively on the screen as you cook. Thoroughly recommended!

A must experience in Kanazawa - It was amazing to experience a true cooking class from an excellent chef with 40 years of experience in Japanese cuisine. We learnt how to really make sushi (not as easy as it may look) with high quality fish from Kanazawa, jabuni (a Kanazawa special), dashimaki tamago and a delicious spinach entrant. Seiji Nakato (the chef) was funny, informative and a very good teacher! They use a language translator machine to communicate (everything appears in a large tv screen) both ways but also his English is not bad at all! Highly recommended!
