Great to places see but tour execution was unprofessional - Our guide did not appear knowledgeable about the tour nor did he appear very interested. We only spent about 5 minutes at the cemetery as he was constantly rushing us to get back in the bus, unnecessarily as it turned out as we had a long wait later on for the train. His urging destroyed the sanctity of the war cemetery experience… if I had family members lost on the death railway I would have been very annoyed but I went along with it thinking he knew better. Virtually no commentary was given for the whole day despite 2x held microphones at his immediate right hand side in the minivan, they were never picked up and used for the whole day. I can only assume he didn’t know much about the subject matter. The tour guide slept for a large part of the journey which at one point became dangerous because the bus driver missed an important turn off to Erawan and decided to to attempt a 3 point turn on a narrow mountain road about 80 mtrs after a bend on a steep decline. If a truck was coming around the blind bend it could have been awful. There are no passenger seatbelts in the minvans. On the plus side, the war cemetery, JEATH war museum and Erawan waterfall are must see items. It was just the execution of the tour that was not up to scratch. I could go on but do not wish to make the point any further than I already have.
