- JEATH War Museum - The JEATH War Museum in Thailand is dedicated to the Death Railway, constructed between 1942 and 1943 by Allied POWs under Japanese command as part of the Thai-Burma railways.
- River Khwae Bridge - The Death Railway, constructed during World War II by POWs and Asian laborers under Japanese coercion, was a strategic route intended to facilitate Japan’s invasion of India via Myanmar. Thailand, allied with Japan at the time, supported this effort. The railway, infamous for the high death toll among its laborers, stretches from Nong Pladuk station in Ratchaburi to Thanbyuzayat in Myanmar, covering 415 kilometers with 37 stops. Completed on October 25, 1943, the construction claimed many lives due to illness and Japanese brutality. The Kwai River Bridge, a significant part of this railway, symbolizes both Japanese military ambition and the immense suffering of the laborers. Today, parts of the Death Railway are open to tourists, with the State Railway of Thailand offering routes such as Thonburi-Namtok and a special Bangkok-Namtok line on weekends and holidays. Key attractions include the Kwai River Bridge and the Krasae Cave, where visitors can witness the train’s arrival at 1:30 p.m.
