- Sri Muthumariamman Temple - Known to Hindus as Sri Muthumariamman Temple, this renowned Hindu temple in Matale is dedicated to Muthumariamman, the goddess of rain. In Tamil, “Muthu” means pearls, “Mari” means rain, and “Amman” means goddess. Hindus worship this goddess for prosperity. Hinduism was brought to Sri Lanka from India, and many temples were established on lands owned by English cultivators who brought Tamil laborers from India to work their fields. The Matale Hindu Temple was constructed in 1874 on land that was previously a paddy field, donated by its owner in 1852. The temple suffered significant damage during an ethnic conflict in 1983.

This cave monastery, with its five sanctuaries, has been a sacred pilgrimage site for 22 centuries and is the largest and best-preserved cave-temple complex in Sri Lanka.
- Sigiriya The Ancient Rock Fortress - Sigiriya is a site of immense historical and cultural importance, featuring stunning views and ancient ruins. Visitors can climb to the top of the rock and admire the wall paintings along the way.
- Pidurangala Rock - The history of Pidurangala Rock Temple is closely linked to the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Monks are believed to have lived in the caves of Pidurangala 2,500 years ago, as evidenced by a temple and a 12.5-meter-long reclining Buddha statue built in a cave, which is said to be the largest brick statue in the world.

Amazing - Amazing trip to Sigiriya and elephant national park with friends. Good driving and conversation with lots of stops for fruit and meals.

Overall 10/10 experience would recommend to take the trip, and ask for Ilham! - Firstly I’d like to thank my driver Ilham, who not only arrived on time despite the terrible morning traffic in Ella, but also made sure throughout the trip to include…….
We first started the day by going to a local bakery in which Ilham bought us a few of the local treats(which were amazing btw) after which we did the tour in which the view was amazing!!
We went to a few of the local spots to eat that he knew( all of which were friendly and delicious)
All in all the trip was worth it and more!!

Excellent trip - It was a very nice trip, and mohamed was very nice and the hospitality was incredible. I would definitely do it again!
We also went to sigiriya and the view was incredibly beatifull and they brought us to a very nice and relaxing massage.

Dambulla cave and Sigiriya rock - Our day trip was long but we visited the Dambulla cave temples which were amazing, and Sigiriya rock ( although we choose to climb the opposite rock Pidurangala, which gave great views of Sigiriya). Ilham was really friendly, he stopped and bought us some local bakery goods on the way, delicious! He took us to a nice lunch buffet family run place which was tasty. He was also open to stopping when we wanted a coffee and never made us feel rushed. He was chatty but asked if we wanted music and made sure we were always comfortable, stopping for the washroom when we needed it.
I would recommend a tour with Ilham, we really enjoyed it!

A wonderful ride! - What a great experience! Our guide was so kind and thoughtful! He even treated us to tasty corn and king coconuts before our hike at sigiriya! We loved our experience and truly appreciate our guide for giving us a wonderful adventure!

10/10 - This tour was absolutely excellent, and Ilham was a prince. I can't imagine having a better experience. Ilham was knowledgeable and went out of his way to make sure we had the best time possible. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience - Sri Lanka was great but our tour guide made the entire experience even better then we could have imagined. He went above and beyond and helped immerse us in not only the tourist attractions but also the real culture that of the place with many stops along the way.
I felt like I was being shown around by a friend that I new my entire life. Would definitely recommend.

Always my pleasure :) - We had a super eventful day today with our very nice guide Ilham. We were picked up on time and then we were off. In addition to the program we booked, we were also shown lots of small, interesting places. We had a delicious traditional meal and had interesting and funny conversations on the trip.
I would recommend Ilham at any time with a clear conscience.
