Departing from Riverlife Adventure Centre, all guests experience a night paddle in front of the city lights followed by a delightful dining experience serving fresh prawns.
Kayaking is a great adventure for everyone! Heading towards the Story Bridge or South Bank, depending on the tide, our 90-minute kayaking journey offers awesome sights and photo spots. You will see the sunset over the bustling skyline and watch the nightlife come to life as the city lights turn on, one by one.
After you return from your adventure, settle into waterfront dining at Riverlife. Here, we will serve fresh praws, all included in the price of $139.
For this adventure, be ready to start at 5:30pm by arriving at the Adventure Centre by 5:15pm pm. Just select your adventure, the number of people in your group, the date, and we will do the rest!
No experience is necessary as each session includes full instruction, a safety briefing, and all equipment including a Personal Flotation Device. Participants must be at least 12 years of age for the Paddle and Prawn experience. Bookings essential.

Amazing 'must do' night on the Brisbane River! - Just an amazing night on the Brisbane River. Those who think Brisbane is a boring sleepy city should start a Friday night doing this great tour. The tour starts with a short briefing with the city lights behind you. Our guides were fun and made the necessary information light and easy. Then off for a leisurely paddle which had amazing views all the way along. The city lights were stunning and as we passed under the Storey Bridge the views to Howard Smith Wharves were stunning. The paddle back was just as spectacular, and once we returned to Riverlife there was a bucket of prawns served with delicious rolls, and beer and wine to reward us for our exertions. This is a great way to see the "River City", a great value excursion, and worthwhile addition to any trip to Brisbane.

Another great evening with Riverlife - I've been kayaking with the team at Riverlife a few times now and it never disappoints. There's something so special about a night kayak with the lights of Brisbane shimmering on the River. The staff are always so friendly while giving the instructions and it's a leisurely paddle up/down the river. Definitely stay for the beer and prawns at the end of the night, to keep soaking up that view.

So much fun! - I had booked this adventure for the Saturday session and when something came up, the company very kindly allowed me to change my booking at the last minute to the Friday night tour. Chris was our guide and he was wonderful! I would absolutely do this tour again and recommend it to my friends!

One of my favorite experiences in Australia - We visited Australia for 17 days back in July/Aug, and I had booked this tour prior to leaving. I cannot say how much fun it was. When our friends and family back home ask us what was one of the best things we did while away, the night kayaking down the Brisbane River is one of them. The sights were amazing, the evening beautiful, and Brisbane lit up at night - just spectacular. And this review wouldn't be complete without mentioning the staff at Riverlife, they were so informative and a pleasure to deal with. I will never forget this experience. I just wish I would have had the nerve to bring my camera, but I didn't want to take the chance of tipping over with it.

Had a great time... - This is the first time ever I tried kayaking, was freaked out initially. My friends booked the tickets, obviously was forced into this. After getting on the kayak struggled to direct it due to high currents. Luckily Lauren was so kind, helpful, she tagged my kayak to hers and helped to keep it from going to the middle of the river all the time. Definitely impressed with how easy it turned out at the end and didn't have to worry about falling into the river :)

Twilight Tour turns into enjoyable evening excursion - Only 1 or 2 nights in Brisbane? No worries as Riverlife have it sorted. The Friday Night Kayak Tour rates highly on the enjoyable scale. The impressive night view and TGIF night sounds of the City from the riverbank start point is the first highlight but it just gets better as you silently glide downriver to quieter riverside districts. Groups are small and your kayak guides are always on hand for amusing city snippets or info. The Prawn Dinner is exceptional and when they say "bucket" they mean "bucket". Hope that some of your group who booked the Dinner don't turn up for it - all the more for you!

Such a beautiful city by night - What an awesome way to see Brisbane. Living here we take this city for granted. Such an awesome way to spend the evening sightseeing. Our guides were first class, and such a professional company. Would highly recommend this activity not only for tourists, but especially for locals!

I had booked Friday night for the... - <p>I had booked Friday night for the prawn dinner. They were closed that night and they didn't let me know. If I hadn't called I would have shown up on Friday. They were able to accommodate me on Saturday night. Really good kayak instruction and they were very safety minded. The view of the city was fabulous. The dinner was barbecue not prawns. It was ok, but no butter for rolls. Kayaking was great.</p>
