- Jungutan - Balinese cuisine has long been cherished as a cultural gastronomic pleasure by both locals and international enthusiasts. Numerous Balinese specialties have made their way into various countries, retaining a similar appearance and flavor to their authentic counterparts. The eagerness to savor and prepare these culinary treasures intensifies our anticipation to enhance the experience at the Samsara Living Museum, where a cooking class is dedicated to the art of traditional Balinese cooking. You’ll have the opportunity to create dishes like Lawar, pesan telengis, pelecing, urab, sate, and other indigenous recipes. To complete the experience, the dishes you prepare will be enjoyed in the customary communal dining practice, known as ‘Megibung’, as previously mentioned.\nIn addition to learning how to cook authentic Balinese cuisine, participants will also have the chance to craft one of the local alcoholic beverages, ‘The Arak’. The creation of this drink involves genuine fermentation and distillation processes, and it plays a significant role in religious ceremonies, serving as an offering to the gods and other beings in the cosmos, referred to as ‘Tetabuhan’.
