- Kapu Camii - A historical mosque from the 17th-century Ottoman period, it is the largest among the Ottoman mosques in the city. Named for its proximity to one of the entrances of Konya Castle, it was built in 1658 by Pir Hüseyin Çelebi, a Mevlevi Lodge postnishin. The mosque was first renovated in 1811, but a fire in 1867 destroyed it along with surrounding foundation shops. Rebuilt in 1868, it has lost its original form. Constructed of cut stone, it reflects classical Ottoman mosque architecture. The roof features 8 small domes inside, with a stone mihrab and wooden pulpit. An inscription on the crown gate marks the last renovation in 1868. It has gates facing east and west, and a congregation hall supported by 10 columns at the entrance.

- Iplikci Cami - Situated in the city center, in the Kürkçü neighborhood east of Alâeddin Hill on Mevlâna Street. The foundation deed from 1202 of the Altunapa Madrasa, once adjacent but now demolished, made both buildings famous first as İplikçılar and later as İplikçılar, due to the yarn maker Necibüddîn Ayaz, the madrasa’s trustee, and the nearby İplikçılar Bazaar. The domed structure next to the mosque’s qibla wall is thought to be from the collapsed madrasa.
Built of bricks on a rectangular base extending northwest to southeast, the building is now in a pit due to the raised street and pavement.

The most significant transformation in Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi’s life began with his meeting with Şems-i Tebrizi. Şems opened new horizons for Mevlana and became his companion on the journey to becoming a perfect public lover. The Şems-i Tebrizi Tomb and Mosque, located in a large park east of Konya Alaeddin Hill, are adjacent. The tomb is a classical Seljuk type, covered with a lead roof, later added, and houses a large sarcophagus under the dome, believed to contain Şems-i Tabrizi’s body.
