Well worth a visit - The tour guide Sophia was very friendly, helpful, engaging, knowledgeable, The tour itself was brilliant, the first visit was to the volcanic site, then a small village, Nikia before we went to Nisyros village itself . I would recommend the tour - well worth the money . The transfer back after we arrived at Kos port wasn’t great. The guide was speaking German and so inappropriate for English speakers. Thank goodness this wasn’t part of the tour and all we needed to do was to listen for the mention of our hotel and look out for it on our return All in all a great trip

Hot day on a volcanic island - I really would like to mark this higher but there were just a couple of things that let it down. The first you were herded in like cattle and there were only just enough seats, though some were broken on a very hot bus. The ferry across to the island and back is a typical packed ferry but there was a lovely breeze and the waters smooth. Once off the ferry you are herded off into your language groups and then each group goes off at different times. I would have liked to been told more about life of a volcanic island and not just taken to the main square to be recommended a restaurant. The guide was lovely and I’m sure we could have asked her questions, but instead we wondered around some pretty alley ways and grabbed a drink. You’re driven up to the volcano where you can walk down to the crater. I wish we were given longer as having a young child with me there wasn’t the time to get them all the way down and up again as the last bit down is quite steep and the heat off the rocks as expected is a lot. You’re in direct sun and on a hot day, the temperature is even higher. It was a good day overall just needed more time
