This tour offers an up-close experience of Bollywood’s major studios and the active sets of various blockbuster films, which are still in use for live shoots. You’ll have the opportunity to explore at least five grand sets and additional sets from the inside. Please note that witnessing live shooting is not guaranteed.
- ND’S Film Studio - The tour begins in the morning with a pickup from your hotel or any location in Pune, followed by a drive to the Bollywood studio (approximately a 2-hour drive).
Your day at the studio starts at the gates, where the walls are adorned with sculptures depicting the Indian film industry. You’ll see giant sculptures of elephants, camels, dinosaurs, and real horses.
Proceed to the filming sets and witness some of the existing sets used in blockbuster movies like “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo,” “Mangal Pandey,” “Jodha Akbar,” “Kick,” “Dabbang,” “Indu Sarkar,” “Bajirao Mastani,” and more. TV series such as “Ashoka,” “Big Boss,” and “Kaun Banega Crorepati” (Who Wants to be a Millionaire) were also shot here.
Observe technicians at work and get a behind-the-scenes look at movie-making activities. You might also get a chance to peek into the stars’ makeup rooms and possibly take photos or get autographs from some actors (subject to availability).
Experience other major attractions, including Sheesh Mahal, beautifully carved with over one billion pieces of mirror and featured in Salman Khan’s movie “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.” Explore the Village Set-up, Mumbai’s Town Square, and iconic locations such as Fashion Street, Wax Museum, Ghost House, Jail Restaurant, Chor Bazaar, and Food Bazaar (Khau Galli).
After the tour, you will be taken for lunch.
