Thai Cooking School Phuket (Kata Thai Cooking Class) - Our Thai Cooking Class is located at Kata next to Karon and Patong on the beautiful west coast of Phuket. The class takes only about 3-4 hours and what you learn from us lasts forever. The Lunch Courses start from basic ingredient choosing, cooking demonstration, actual cooking, and taste your own food. The Afternoon Courses start from walking through the Fresh Local Market. Taste some Fresh Fruits or Food. You will feel more confident when you see them again. You will know how to eat them and how delicious. The class has a friendly atmosphere to help to create good relationships with each other. We are not only cook but also entertainers.
• 10:30am/03:30pm Arriving in the cooking class at Kata beach we get to know each other with a relaxing and refreshing glass of lemongrass tea.
• 10:45am/04:30pm After you get relaxed and getting to know each other, you will start to learn how to cook with Sally and Jim. They will demonstrate and explain step by step the very Thai dishes you will prepare. Each student will receive a booklet with the recipes of the day and an apron.
• 01:00pm/07:00pm Lunchtime. Enjoy your Thai Lunch cooked by yourself.
• 01:30pm/07:30pm Return to Hotel

All attendees will receive a recipe book and the necessary utensils to take part in this course, along with the ingredients. Why should you choose us? A must do family activity! - We booked as a family including children aged between 10 and 15. It was a great family experience - lots of fun had by all.
Jim picked us up from our hotel and on the way to the cooking school we stopped at a local market. Here Jim showed us the different types of seafood and vegetables - Jim is so charismatic and really involved the whole family. It was interesting to learn about the different ingredients that we would be cooking with.
We arrived at the cooking school and were warmly greeted by the rest of Jim’s team. The whole experience was super organised, interactive and fun. We learnt a lot about Thai ingredients and way of cooking. We cooked Tom yum soup, green curry, had Thai and mango sticky rice - we cooked everything from scratch and all got to tailor our food to our own taste and spice tolerance.
After cooking all our food we got to enjoy the food in a relaxed setting, chatting with Jim and admiring his impressive collection of LEGO cities and fairgrounds!
We would highly recommend and would go back again if we visit Phuket again.

Learn to cook Thai!
Jim adds that unique local market tour, I learned so much.

Fun and educational experience - We had a great time learning how to cook Thai food with Jim and Sally.
We chose the afternoon class which includes a market visit. After picking us up at our hotel, we went straight to a market where the locals shop. Jim showed us how to identify and choose ingredients that we would be using in our dishes later on. At the school, we learned how to prepare 4 dishes: pad thai, cashew chicken, green curry and mango sticky rice. The emphasis is on the proper preparation and blending of the ingredients, while the actual cooking is straightforward, done entirely in a wok.
Jim is super funny and ongoing, which made the class very entertaining. We learned a lot and the food was delicious! We came away with a renewed appreciation for the flavours and freshness of Thai food!

Delicious and fun! - We loved everything about this cooking class. Jim was a funny and enthusiastic host and we learnt a lot about Thai food and ingredients. The food we made was the best we had in our 2 week stay in Thailand. Lots of fun and would recommend to anyone headed to Kata Beach

Best thing to do in Thailand - Wow what can I say. We have been to Phuket for the 3rd time now and have done most of the tours, island hopping, ATV, shoes etc… I have found those to be a marketing gimmick, over promise and under deliver. Wow this course was amazing. We booked at 23:00 the night before and our booking was confirmed within a few hours. The host picked us up and then proceeded to the market which was insightful. We learnt a lot about the market and the various Thai veg and fruit. The fruit tasting was amazing. Jim and Sally are wonderful hosts and Jim has the personality of movie star… he made the class amazing, connected well with the class and was funny. He receipes we’re on point, delicious. If in Phuket skip the boat tours for spending 4 hours in travelling and one hour on the islands and do this class. You will thank me afterwards.

Highlight of our trip to Phuket! - What a fantastic experience we had cooking a Thai meal with Sally and Tom! First we had a great visit to the market to buy the ingredients which was great as Sally speaks great English and was able to explain so much to us about the local produce. The kitchen, dining and work areas were spotlessly clean and what we cooked was undoubtedly the best Thai meal either of us have ever had. Tom is such a big personality it was such fun meeting them both. Can't recommend highly enough.

BEST COOKING CLASS - I would 100/10 recommend taking this cooking class with Sally & Jim! Not only were they informative, patient, and kind but they were so personable, funny and super engaging! And the food was amazing! We will definitely be back! Thanks so much for an awesome time!
