• Nai Harn Beach - From Windmill Viewpoint, located beneath the rotating blades of the ‘Phromthep Alternative Energy Station,’ visitors can observe a variety of sea traffic, including long-tail boats, fishing vessels, oil tankers, and large cruise ships traveling to and from Singapore. The viewpoint is also a gathering place for model airplane enthusiasts and hang gliders who enjoy the tropical thermals, landing gracefully at Nai Harn Beach. Brahminy kites and sea eagles can often be seen gliding by. Despite the aerial activity, Windmill Viewpoint remains uncrowded due to limited parking. It is a prime location for sunset views and offers a beautiful all-day experience, with the sea appearing especially azure at midday.
• Promthep Cape - Promthep Cape is one of the most photographed and renowned spots on the island. Each evening, tour buses, scooters, and private cars make their way through Rawai Beach to the southernmost hill to witness the sunset. At the hilltop, a bustling car park accommodates visitors from around the globe.
• Big Buddha Phuket - (Temporarily CLOSED, but the viewpoint near Big Buddha is accessible)

Phuket’s Big Buddha is a significant and revered landmark on the island. The massive statue, standing 45 meters tall, is located atop the Nakkerd Hills between Chalong and Kata and is visible from Phuket Town and Karon Beach. The site offers spectacular 360-degree views of the island, including Phuket Town, Kata, Karon, and Chalong Bay. It is easily accessible via a 6-km winding road from Phuket’s main route and is a must-visit destination.

• Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong) - Buddhist temples, or wats, are vital symbols of Thailand, reflecting the country’s Buddhist majority and their beauty. Phuket is home to 29 Buddhist temples, with Wat Chalong welcoming visitors for over a century. Locals come to pray, while Westerners visit to learn about Buddhism.

• Old Phuket Town - Unlike many Thai provincial capitals, Phuket Town is full of character, especially in its Old Town. This historic area features shrines, temples (both Buddhist and Chinese), beautifully preserved ‘shophouses,’ charming cafés, small printing shops, private and public museums, and even a former red-light district. Built during Phuket’s tin boom, the Old Town showcases grand Sino-colonial mansions once owned by tin barons. The area is compact and best explored early in the morning or after the heat of the day.

• Khao Rang Hill View Point - Khao Rang Hill is a renowned viewpoint in Phuket, located northwest of the city center. Its summit provides views of the town, the island’s southern region, nearby islands, and the hills forming the island’s ‘spine,’ where the impressive Phuket Big Buddha is situated. The area features a landscaped park with a children’s playground, three restaurants and bars, a fitness park, and a panoramic terrace built in 2014, enhancing the viewpoint’s appeal and offering a refreshing escape in Phuket’s capital.

• Banzaan Fresh Market - The Banzaan Market was created by a prominent Phuket family to offer shoppers a unique experience beyond a typical local market. The term ‘banzaan’ means fresh market in Hokkien, a Chinese dialect common among many overseas Chinese communities in Southeast Asia.

• Mai Khao Beach - (OPTIONAL)
  The prime spot for plane watching is at the western end of Phuket International Airport’s runway, at the southern end of Mai Khao Beach. The location is picturesque, with Mai Khao Beach stretching up to 50 meters wide at low tide, and the turquoise sea providing stunning photo opportunities.
