Highlights
  • 8G79H52J+PHM - Meet your guide in front of Miramare Hotel, next to AutoTour in Pigadia at 8am. Follow us with your own rental car for 10 minutes or join our transport if booked on time to assure your spot. This hike starts in Aperi, near the exit of Achata beach. On our way to the cave we can enjoy nature and spectacular views.

The hike starts off fairly easy but gets tougher as we begin our descent towards the cave. Once inside the cave, we can explore the many stalagmites and stalactites formed in the cave over thousands of years. Here we also take a little break overlooking the beautiful Aegean sea. Our way back is the toughest part of the hike as we now have a fairly substantial climb.

This hike is only for experienced hikers as the hike includes climbs as well as descents in tougher environments.
After 4 hours we are back in Aperi.
Bring your own flashlight if you have, otherwise we can lend you one.

Beautiful hike with an excellent guide who tells with passion about nature and Karpathos - We did the Limniotis cave hike last week with Thom as our guide. He is an amazing guide that knows a lot about Karpathos and its nature. He makes sure that everyone is able to follow, helps you on how to traverse the path, and talks with a lot if passion on the things that you see during the hike. The views of the mountain landscape, the sea, and the cave were absolutely amazing. The smell of herbs, like sage, next to the hiking path adds another dimension to the experience.

Looking for activities on Karpathos? Right place, right time! - We did the Lastos and the Cave hike this week. Amazing weather, outstanding views and two lovely guides, Renate and Thom. Both guides do everything in their power to make you feel comfortable, teach you interesting facts along the hikes and give you an extraordinary service before and after the trip. The only downside of having Art&Walk as one of the possibilities for activities in Karpathos is that we are regretting staying only one week! In the famous words of Arnold: we'll be back, a fact in which Art&Walk have a huge contribution. Renate and Thom, thank you both so much for the experience and keep that same energy ❤
