Arrival in Kashgar: A Step Back in Time

The Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves, though damaged, still spoke of a splendid Buddhist culture that once flourished here. The Emin Minaret, with its traditional Uyghur architecture, stood as a symbol of the region’s rich heritage.

The fast train from Turpan to Liuyuan was a journey through the heart of the Silk Road, leading me to the mesmerizing landscapes of Dunhuang. The Singing Sand Dunes and Crescent Moon Spring were unlike anything I had ever seen. As I climbed the dunes, the sand sang beneath my feet, a natural phenomenon that added to the magic of the place.
