Hike and then enjoy the sunset - We did this tour in the afternoon (we did the hiking tour in the morning as well). We had a wonderful experience and our guide took time to explain the history of the area and gave us a lot of information about the region in general. The afternoon hike is a little bit more challenging than the one in the morning but definitely worth it.

BEST TOUR EVER - HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND - This was such an amazing tour and totally made top of my list for my time in Greece 😍 We booked the 5.30pm Sunset Tour, and despite it being stinking hot, the walk under the trees definitely made it feel cooler. Evan was an awesome guide - he answered all of our questions and gave us so much insight into the history of the area, the monasteries and the hermits. The hike itself was medium-hard. 90% of it was pretty easy walking (quite steep but good footing). 10% was more of a steep scramble /climb over rocks (hence the ‘hard’ part). I did it in sneakers but would have preferred hiking boots for some of the slipperier parts. The views are absolutely breathtaking and although you end up super high up on a cliff top at the end, the walk itself never felt too steep (we stopped for lots of water breaks and information breaks). If you are planning on doing this hike, you definitely need lots of water and a hat, and good grippy walking shoes. You should also be comfortable walking up stairs / climbing up over a few rocks - probably wouldn’t recommend this for those that are scared of heights. We had a small group (5) which was perfect, and we didn’t really see anyone on the way up (until the end where there are quite a few bus loads of tourists watching the sunset - although you can still find a space away from the big groups for good photo ops and to watch the sunset in peace). I couldn’t recommend this tour enough - and it was especially great to do it on our first night in Kastraki as it gave us a feel for the area and we could then do our own hikes around the monasteries the next day (using meteora trails.gr). Thanks Evan so so much for such an incredible experience!!

Great tour to see some of the other amazing things meteora has to offer - This tour was excellent. It was a good overview of the central area and you get to see some monasteries from a distance. The more in depth look at the less talked about caves and the chapel in the wall were very cool. And the sunset at the end was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. There are a lot of uphill climbs, so be prepared with enough water. Combined with a separate hike to see some of the monasteries up close, this feels like a very good way to see most of what Meteora has to offer. I was here just on an overnight trip, and I felt very satisfied with what I got to see and experience. The even more exceptional part was Chris, my tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and very fun to hike with. He certainly elevated the whole experience

Great Tour with Chris - I really enjoyed my tour with Chris. He provided great company and conversation as well as explaining different things about Meteora that I didn't get from other tours. I walked at quite a fast pace so Chris made sure to show me a few extra spots that I hadn't seen yet.

Highlight of our trip to Meteora! - I booked this hike for my family of 5 and we all agree it was one of our highlights from our trip to Meteora. A shout out to our guide Evan who was amazing and knowledgeable. He met us in Kastraki village and we started off the hike at an easy pace. Throughout the hike he made sure we were all doing well and he had great stories and information. The scenery was gorgeous and stunning, and the hike was challenging but totally worth it. I would recommend!

fun, interesting and unique experience - Our tour guide was very knowledgable, helpful and very pleasant. He explained to us the history of meteora, described the local plants and small animals (we saw lots of turtles) and took really good photos of us. My kids (teenagers) and I really enjoyed the hike. It is an excellent way to see Meteora. The hike is not difficult, although it has a couple of areas where you have to be more careful. I highly recommend this hiking tour.

Simply unforgettable - the perfect way to visit this stunning place - We did the morning hike which was just the perfect way to see this amazing place. In fact we enjoyed it so much that we immediately booked on this Hermit Cave tour (a shorter hike) which was also brilliant. Evan was the guide on both trips and he was great. I can’t recommend these tours highly enough - if you are able to, hiking around this spectacular area, is the way to do it. And Visit Meteora were excellent in every way.

Our tour guide for the hiking tour, Chris, was particularly fantastic. It was such a unique and great experience. I would recommend everyone do these tours if you get a chance. This was absolutely one of the highlights of our trip and it was an experience we’ll never forget!

Late afternoon hike in the caves and on top of peaks. - Excellent way to learn the hermit caves and their history. Evan (our guide) too the 6 of us starting at 4:30pm in June 2023 on a hike from their shop to see the following: Holy Spirit rock, hermit caves where people use to live, caves firmed between massive rocks. The hike was easy if you are in some type of shape but it’s not Disneyland so must wear good shoes and able to hike up rocky terrain.
