Wonderful Tour of Olympia, Honey Farm, and Olive Oil Tasting - We had an amazing day visiting Olympia, a local honey farm, and a market for olive oil tasting. Everything was smooth and well-organized, with pick-up and drop-off right at the cruise port, which made it super convenient. Olympia’s history was fascinating, the honey farm was charming with delicious samples, and the olive oil tasting at the market was a real highlight. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, making the whole experience enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area—especially cruise passengers!

A Tour Which is Well Worth your Time! - This tour was exceptional. The driver gave interesting details as we traveled from Katakolon to Olympia. In Olympia we met a certified tourist guide who gave in depth details concerning the Olympia site. She really knew her stuff. After spending time at this extensive site, we went to the museum on the grounds. Here you can see many items which were excavated from the Olympic site. This was very impressive. Afterward our driver took us to a shop where we were able to taste olive oils and other tastey items. Finally we visited a family owned business which processes olives into olive oil. It was educational and entertaining. All fees and entrance costs are covered by this tour.

They know what they are doing! - What a day! Eleni was perfect! It was HOT (42.5’) and there was a strike, but it did not affect us or our group! She quickly shifted the tour and we had a relaxing stop at the olive oil tasting, then made it to Olympia right at noon when it re-opened. She suggested a reversed schedule (museum then ruins) and it was perfect! We skipped the lines, we were able to preview the ruins at the museum and then fully enjoy the ruins without the crowds! Can’t say enough great things! Superb tour!!

Well done tour to Olympia! - Very hot day, but this tour company did a great job. We had a historian onsite that walked us through the l archeological site. Our host on the very nice small bus was darling. My only disappointment was the location of the Olive Oil tasting. It was sort of tourist rip off spot. The tasting was nice, but they were charging 50% more than stores around the cruise port for the same items.

KATAKOLON Shore Excursion - So glad we booked this small tour. We walked right past the busses lined up for the ship excursions and past the local tour hawkers the end of the pier. Our driver, Kostia, was friendly and drove us to Olympia; my family of three and two women from the ship. First, went to small but impressive museum with many artifacts from excavations. We got straight through into the Olympics site with tour included tickets. Our guide, Elana, is certified by the Greek Ministry Of Tourism and she was a wealth of historical information. She knows her stuff! This is a tour for those who can appreciate in-depth historical information. After the Olympics site, we went to a nearby charming honey farm. It was worth the 10 Euro fee. Charming, friendly bee keeper proud to carry on her long family tradition. Then off to a market for olive oil tastings. Back to port and Kostia the driver pointed out a nice restaurant with good food we had before boarding the ship. All in all, highly recommended tour for those who want to avoid the crowds on the other tours and are appreciative of that personal touch.

Olympia - Museum and Actual Historic Site - On November 25, 2023 we visited Katakolon and Olympia. I believe Elena was our tour guide. She was excellent. We met the small bus as expected, and proceeded to Olympia. Since it was raining, Elena suggested that we visit the museum first. This was a great idea, since we were able to properly orient ourselves to the ancient site. Elena was extremely knowledgeable about what we were seeing, and immersed us in the 400's BC time period. We learned a great deal about the Greek gods and how they were very important to the original games. The site has been extensively excavated, and many of the statues were in the museum. The rain stopped and we proceeded to the site. It was breathtaking. We walked where the ancient athletes walked. History came to life in the words from Elena. On the way back to the ship, we stopped at a store that had Olive Oil and honey tasting. A nice place, and the stop was not too long. A great day!

Olympia disappointment - Great to see the spot where Olympic games began. Tour guide could have elaborated less due to the extreme heat. Our tickets included admission to the two museums. They were mentioned early on tour but never offered or suggested in our allotted time. This was a disappointment.

Unprofessional - Very unprofessional assistant tour guide. Poor off topic conversations that were her opinions that were inappropriate. Tour guide was knowledgeable but you could not hear her during the museum tour.
