Great Hike, Great Support - Our “Glimpse of Everest” trek started and ended at the very comfortable and centrally-located Suite Home Kathmandu Hotel, a property owned by Nepal Hiking. Tilak Thapa Magar, owner, and his people were very attentive and helpful in getting us through the complications and delays at Kathmandu and Lukla airports, making adjustments based on our needs and arranging side tours to Bhaktapur and Batan with guide, Ros. Our main trekking guide, Gokul and porters were extraordinary. Gokul was very knowledgeable relative to the trek from Lukla to Phakding and then on to and around Namche Bazaar and was an enjoyable person to be with. The weather certainly cooperated, but he made sure we all got a glimpse of Mt. Everest. Mohan, one of the porters, was especially helpful for me because of some special needs I developed along the hike. There are many tour companies in Kathmandu, but Nepal Hiking seems to be a leader in developing online access and in developing a strong customer orientation. I highly recommend them.
