We’ll go over the detailed itinerary before you savor traditional Nepalese cuisine and enjoy a Nepali dance performance. Overnight stay at the Kathmandu hotel.
Sightseeing in Kathmandu, tour briefing
Kathmandu - Explore the main attractions in Kathmandu Valley, including Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath, Swyambhunath, and Durbar Square. In the evening, a tour briefing will be held, introducing you to the trekking guide and checking your equipment.
Pashupatinath Temple - This sacred Hindu temple is a UNESCO World Heritage site located near Kathmandu airport.
Boudhha - A renowned Buddhist stupa close to Pashupatinath temple, popular among locals and tourists alike.
Swayambhunath - Also known as the Monkey Temple, Swyambhunath is a significant pilgrimage site for Buddhists.
Kathmandu Durbar Square - A famous UNESCO World Heritage site near Thamel.
Drive to Pokhara, transfer to the hotel
Pokhara - Start the day early with a scenic drive to Pokhara on a tourist bus. Enjoy the picturesque hills and the lively Trishuli River along the way. We’ll stop for lunch near Malekhu and Ghansikuwa, then continue our journey. After 7 to 8 hours, we’ll arrive in Pokhara around 3 pm. Once there, explore and relax at local restaurants and cafes. Overnight stay will be at a hotel near the beautiful Fewa Lake. Pokhara is the second most popular city and the gateway to the Annapurna Himalayas, also known as the city of lakes.
Drive to Nayapul, trek to Ulleri
Ulleri - Begin the journey to Nayapul, the starting point of our trek to Annapurna Base Camp. From Nayapul, the trek begins, passing through a valley forest and crossing the Bhurungdi Khola River to reach Tikhedhunga village. Then, tackle 3400 steps and boulders, a true test of endurance. After overcoming this challenge, arrive at Ulleri in the afternoon for an overnight stay.
Trek to Ghorepani Village
Poon Hill - The trekking journey begins with a hearty breakfast, followed by an ascent to Ghorepani village. Along the way, enjoy views of the stunning Mt. Annapurna South. The path winds through waterfalls and small villages, leading to Ghorepani. Continuing upwards, reach upper Ghorepani, offering a panoramic view of the mountains, including Mt. Annapurna South and Nilgiri.
Hike to Poon Hill, Trek to Tadapani
Tadapani - At dawn, ascend to Poon Hill to witness the magical sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Ranges. Poon Hill is famous for its close-up views of these majestic mountains. Enjoy a hot coffee while taking in the breathtaking scenery. Descend to Ghorepani for breakfast before continuing through rhododendron forests and cascading waterfalls, arriving at Tadapani. Overnight stay will be at a lodge in Tadapani.
Trek to Chhomrong village, gateway to Annapurna Base Camp
Chhomrong - Today’s trek leads through a vast rhododendron forest, revealing picturesque terraced fields as the forest trail ends. Embark on a 5 km uphill journey, passing waterfalls and reaching a suspension bridge—common in the Himalayan region of Nepal. After a few more miles of varied terrain, arrive at the charming village of Chhomrong, nestled below the towering Mt. Annapurna. Overnight stay in Chhomrong.
Trek to Bamboo
Trek to Deurali
Deurali - The trek continues through a chilly bamboo forest, followed by an uphill climb on a steep surface leading to the Himalaya Hotel. Beyond this, the forest opens up, revealing stunning views of the glacial river below. The journey continues with a steep ascent through a drier forest, reaching Hinku Cave.
Moving forward, descend to a river and ascend to Deurali, where breathtaking views of nearby mountains and Mt. Dhaulagiri await. As the landscape changes, lush greenery gives way to captivating vistas of the valley, river, and cliffs adorned with waterfalls. Overnight stay at a lodge in Deurali.
Trek to Annapurna Base Camp via Machhapuchhre Base Camp
Annapurna Base Camp - Ascend steadily along the valley trail, navigating rocky cliffs and occasional steep sections. After a stretch on a relatively flat path, ascend to Machapuchare Base Camp (MBC). From MBC, enjoy breathtaking views of Mt. Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Gandharvachuli, and Gangapurna.
Continue the ascent to the ultimate destination, Annapurna Base Camp (ABC). This marks a lifetime experience for trekkers, surrounded by magnificent peaks. The only access to this area is through the gorge just traversed. Overnight stay at ABC.
Trek down to Dovan
Bamboo - An early rise to witness the spectacular sunrise, the highlight of the ABC journey. After enjoying the breathtaking scenery and breakfast, descend swiftly to MBC, then proceed through Deurali, Himalayan Hotel, and finally reach Doban for an overnight stay. The trail descends, offering a relatively easy downhill trek for the day.
Trek to Jhinu Hot Spring
Jhinu Danda - After breakfast, retrace steps back to Chhomrong, pausing for lunch. Navigate the challenging stone steps previously ascended, continuing until the route descends to Jhinu Danda, the overnight stop. The path leads through farmland and rainforest, providing an enjoyable stroll to the destination.
Trek to Nayapul, drive to Pokhara
Pokhara - After a hearty breakfast, bid farewell to Jhinu Danda and enjoy the scenic hill landscape of western Nepal en route to Nayapul. Lunch will be enjoyed along the way, marking the conclusion of the Annapurna Sanctuary trek. Upon reaching Nayapul, transition to a drive back to Pokhara, celebrating the success of the Annapurna Base Camp journey. Overnight stay in Pokhara.
Drive back to Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel
Kathmandu - The Annapurna adventure concludes with either a flight or drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, transportation to the hotel from the airport will be arranged, providing a free day to explore or shop for souvenirs to bring a piece of Nepal home. A farewell dinner is planned to celebrate the success of the ABC journey, offering an opportunity to share trekking experiences before departure the following day.
Drive to airport, departure from Kathmandu
