Unforgettable journey with Green Valley! - I recently did the Annapurna Base Camp trek solo with a guide from Green Valley Nepal, Tulsi, and a porter, Druga. As a female trekker, safety and comfort were my top concerns — and from the start, I felt completely taken care of. Tulsi, my guide, was professional, kind, and knowledgeable. He made sure I was always comfortable with the pace, checked in on how I was feeling, and shared so much about the local culture and the mountains. His experience showed, and it gave me peace of mind the entire way. Druga, my porter, was equally wonderful. Always smiling and ready to help, he made carrying all my gear look effortless, but I know it wasn’t an easy job. What I appreciated most was how respectful and attentive they both were. They made me feel safe, which is so important when trekking solo. I never felt rushed, and they always prioritized my well-being. I’ll always remember this trek, not just for the stunning views but for the care and support I received along the way. I highly recommend Green Valley Nepal to anyone, especially solo female trekkers. You’ll be in great hands especially with Arjun who is always responsive and took care of all the details from pickup to drop offs to making sure you’re having the best experience.

ABC inc Poon Hill, bespoke trek. - Walking a Nepal has always been a dream for us. I looked at a few companies in Nepal but kept on being drawn back to Green Valley. I’m very pleased I did. We booked a bespoke trip (12days) with Green Valley company in Nepal because we didn’t have time to do the 14 day standard trip. Communication with Arjun when requesting a bespoke trip and his organisation of the trip was very prompt and very efficient, from being picked up at Katmandu to organising hotels, jeeps, tea houses etc. everything worked smoothly and was very efficient and very professional. Guides I feel can make or break a trip and our Guide Ashish undoubtedly made the trip for us. He was competent, knowledgeably, really well organised, efficient, very funny and was a joy to be with. Nothing was too much trouble for him, from encouraging us, making sure tea houses and meals were booked to taking hundreds of photographs. He without a doubt added to our enjoyment and experience of the trip. Our Sherpa,Gautam was also amazing. There wasn’t a moment throughout the trek when he wasn’t cheerful of smiling. A wonderful person. I am looking to book again with Green Valley next year because they are very competent, very well organised and employ very friendly and competent Guides and Sherpas. Ashish and Gautam without a doubt make a very special trip, even more special. I have already recommended this company, along with Ashish and Gautam since returning home.

Is this the way to Annapurna? - I had been trekking with GV last year with my daughter to EBC. This year I returned to Nepal with three mates of similar age (60-70). I did not hesitate to book GV again such is my confidence, organisation and trust I have with this company. Our guide this time was Ram (it was Anil last year). He has been with GV only a few years but already is a very competent guide with good English and local knowledge. He was very attentive and made sure with safely did the trek. One of our group had limited eyesight and another was not as fit as the others in the group but Ram expertly guided each of us through this unforgettable trek. I cannot recommend Raj (Operations) and his team highly enough. We communicated via WhatsApp months before so every last detail was planned and transparent - as we were on a tight schedule. We followed on our trek with another to Langtang which I’ll review separately.

Wonderful experience at ABC! - If you are lucky enough to have Anil Amgain as your guide and Sandesh as your porter your experience will be wonderful and unforgettable. We trekked Annapurna base camp and everything was just so perfect. They will make you feel comfortable the whole time, they will always know what you need, even without asking. Anil is a very knowledgeable guide, perfectly organized, he always made sure everything ran smoothly and he took great care of my severe peanuts allergy. Also, we would have never made it without the incredible support that Sandesh provided us. They are a great team, and very good people. They were also great company when playing cards in the evening! Wonderful Annapurna base camp trek - We had a 10-day private trek to the Annapurna Base Camp with Green Valley. Everything was perfectly organized! Our guide, Anil, and porter, Sandesh, took excellent care of us and all the practicalities. The lunch stops and accommodation were great. Anil patiently walked alongside us, offered support during tough moments, endured our constant stops for photography, and answered all our questions. Sandesh would always reach the lodging spots before us and make sure our room was ready. By the time we arrived, there was no need to wait—we could immediately rest. Thank you once again, guys! I hope we’ll meet again someday! The office communication was a bit slow at times, but overall, we were happy with everything and are already thinking about our next trek—this time to the Everest Base Camp!

Perfect Annapurna Base Camp trek with Green Valley - Me and a friend booked a private 10 days Annapurna Base Camp trek via Green Valley. The trek was amazing, even though the weather was not cooperating in the beginning, so we missed the big views from Poon Hill and Thapla Danda pass, but then it improved and ABC sunrise was absolutely magical. The guide, Anil, and the porter, Sandesh, took really good care of us throughout the trek. Everything was arranged smoothly every day: accommodation, meals, tea, wifi, hot shower - not too mention many many photo stops on the way, which Anil took with great patience. Every evening we were treated to a delicious fruit salad after dinner, then the plan for next day was discussed in detail; our input was always considered, all questions were answered patiently and our requests were satisfied whenever possible (we didn't have that many, actually, apart from not sharing a room with anyone else, which we only had to do at ABC). The communication with the Green Valley office, on the other hand, was patchy sometimes and required a great deal of proactivity on our side; maybe that's a culture thing in Nepal, I am not sure. But in the end all went fine, a couple of small issues didn't spoil the overall impression, and I would definitely use this agency again. Anil and Sandesh - thanks a lot for making this trip so perfect! And, who knows, maybe we'll meet again on a different trek... 😊

Amazing experience - Just completed the Annapurna Base Camp (w. Poon Hill) trek with Green Valley; it was an amazing experience. Arjun from the office was prompt and informative when I enquired about the trip. The booking process was simple and I was able to customise the itinerary to suit me better. Throughout the trek, I was very well taken care of by my guide Padam. We had good communication, and made changes to the itinerary on the go based on the weather & tea house availability info he gathered, which secured a super clear day at the base camp and made sure I always had a room to stay during the extremely busy season. Our porter was just superb. Lots of songs, lots of happy hooting and beautiful memories were shared. Also must not forget the dog that followed us all the way to the base camp! I’ll no doubt go with Green Valley again when I’m back to do another trek in the future.

In AWE with the Annapurna Circuit - We did the Annapurna Circuit trek with Shishir & our two porters Surya & Prakash! Every day we were treated with amazing kindness and hospitality by the tour company. There are no words for just how incredibly beautiful the circuit trek was! There were moments on the trek that were very challenging and Shishir always showed so much patience and expertise. We cannot wait to come back for more trekking experiences!
