Main attractions at Kathmandu Durbar Square include the following :
- Intricate wood carvings and statues built in the 17th century.
- Home of the Kumari, the living goddess of Nepal.
- Nine Story Basantapur Tower built in the 18th century, which offers a beautiful panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley
- Hanuman Dhoka Museum and the Tribhuvan Museum, which offer visitors an opportunity to see the rare artifacts and objects of ancient royals. Patan Durbar Square - Visitors can see the following while visiting Patan Durbar Square :
- Krishna Mandir - Temple to Lord Krishna of Hindu religion, the place is famous for intricate wood carvings and stone sculptures.
- Patan Museum - It features ancient coins, arts, and artifacts reflecting the rich history and culture of the Patan Region.
- Golden Temple which is famous for its roof made of gold, and beautiful meticulous woodcarvings.
- Sundari Chowk is one of the most beautiful courtyards in Nepal, surrounded on all four sides by intricately carved beautiful wood balconies. The courtyard houses a statue of one of the royal kings of Nepal.
- Taleju Bhawani Temple : One of the most religious places in Nepal, here you will explore glided rooftop and beautiful wood carvings.
- Bhimsen Temple will provide additional opportunity to explore unique wood carvings.
- Sundhara is a beautiful waterfall, which is Nepalese version of ‘golden water’. It is believed that the waterfall has healing properties.
Boudhanath Stupa - Boudhanath Stupa is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and also one of the largest stupas in the world. This place has roots going back to 600 AD. Here you will explore the followings:
- The Stupa - The spherical stupa is decorated with beautiful colorful prayer flags and has a golden spire at the top. The diameter of the stupa is about 100 meters and is about 36 meters high. You can walk around the base of the stupa rolling scared prayer wheels and smelling aromatic incense.
- Monasteries - The complex has many monasteries such as Shechen Monastery, Rangjung Yeshe Gompa and Thrangu Monastery, which provide visitors with a glimpse of daily life of monks and nuns.
- Thangkas - Thangkas are traditional Tibetan Buddhist paintings depicting the life of Buddha and his teachings or other famous Buddhist deities. It also features the famous wheel of life.
- Souvenir shops - These shops sell traditional Tibetan handicrafts such as prayer flag, singing bowls, paintings and many more.
Pashupatinath Temple - Pashupatinath temple is considered one of the most scared place of Hindu religion. Here you will explore
- The main temple complex which is dedicated to Lord Shiva is a pagoda style temple and features a golden roof and silver plated doors
- Numerous other temples considered scared to Hindu religion
- Bagmati River

Drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar (760m)
Trisuli River - Kathmandu to Besisahar is about 6-7 hour bus ride depending on the traffic, covering a distance of about 176 meters.
Besisahar is the starting point of the Annapurna circuit trek.
The bus route follows the Trishuli River, which is famous for rafting and trekking. The rapids at the Trishuli River varies in complexity level making it friendly for both beginner and experienced rafters.
Trek to Chamje (1430m)
मर्स्याङ्दी गाँउपालिकाको कार्यालय - This trek starts in the town of Besisahar and follows the Marsyandi River to the town of Chamje.
Along the way, you will see the Khudi hydropower plant, in the Marsyangdi River, a beautiful view from Bahundanda.
Khudi hydropower plant is one of the largest hydroelectric projects of Nepal, and is considered an engineering marvel.
The Marsyangdi River is famous for rafting and kayaking.
Trek to Chame (2670m)
Annapurna Mountain Range - This day of your trekking takes you to the beautiful Chame village located at an elevation of 2,670 meters. Along the way, you will be able to view the stunning Annapurna range and Lamjung Himal.
You will pass the natural hot spring of tatopani, which is believed to have healing power. You will see beautiful lush green forest along the way.
Trek to Pisang (3200m)
Trek to Manang (3540m)
Thorangla Pass - This day of trekking takes you to Manage at an elevation of 3,520 meters.
Along the way, you will be able to view the stunning beautiful Annapurna range and Gangapurna.
The landscape of Manang resembles high altitude desert.
Manang is home to many Buddhist monasteries including Braga Monastery where you will experience traditional Buddhist culture and sculptures.

Thorangla Pass - You can hike around Manang village, where you will witness the beauty of various ethnic communities in their magnificent villages.
Trek to Yak Kharka (4018m)
Annapurna Mountain Range - You will see the spectacular views of massive Himalayan peaks including Annapurnas, Gangapurna, Tilicho peak and Manaslu. You will also enjoy sights of beautiful waterfalls, including the astonishing Chhomrong waterfall.
You will pass through colorful Rhododendron forest, where the flower bloom in full during spring season.
Trek to Throng Phedi (4450m)
Cross Thorong La (5416m), Trek to Muktinath (3800m.)
Muktinath Temple - You will cross the Thorong La pass, start a descend to Muktinath (at an elevation of 3800 meters). Muktinath temple is a sacred place of pilgrimage for both Hindu and Buddhist devotees, featuring a pagoda style Hindu temple and a Buddhist monastery. It is considered one of the highest temples in the World.
There are 108 taps at the temple complex that pour out natural spring water which is believed to have healing properties.
The temple complex offers a breath taking view of the Annapurna mountain range.
Trek to Jomsom (2800m)
Jomsom Muktinath Trek - You will start descending down to Jomsom (2743 meters). You will see stunning natural beauty including snow peak mountains, deep gorges and scenic valleys.
The Kali Gandaki River flows through the city, adding picturesque setting. The river derives its name as ‘Kali Gandaki’ because of the black silt and clay particles in the water. The Kali Gandaki River is famous for sacred “Shaligram” stones (ammonite fossils).
During the trek, you will see colorful apple orchards in the surrounding hills, which bloom fully during fall season. Jomsom offers an arid and desert like terrain.
The Kali Gandaki Gorge is considered to be one of the deepest gorges in the world.
Flight from Jomsom to Pokhara
Kali Gandaki River - You will take short flight to Pokhara. Arrival in Pokhara then transfer to hotel.

Pokhara Museum - We will take to you to the famous city tour in Pokhara where you will visit places such as Pokhara museum, Devis Fall, Gupteshor cave, Tal Barahi Temple, K I Singh Bridge.
At Pokhara museum, you will see an art gallery which showcases the art prepared by local artist including paintings and other art forms. You will see vintage photograph collections of beautiful Pokhara and its surrounding area dating back to 20th century. You will also explore the exhibits that display the fossils and geological specimens of Pokhara.
Devi’s Fall - Here you will experience the famous Devis waterfall which cascades down from a height of about 33 meters into a deep pool. The water hits several stones and rocks along the way and disappears into a cave.
You will also be able to view the scenic view of lush green rolling hills from the viewing platform.
Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave - Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave is considered to be one of the longest caves in Nepal. It has two chambers with many shrines along the way that represent hindu God Shiva. You will be able to see many magnificent looking stalactites and stalagmites.
Barahi temple - Tal Barahi Temple is a temple of Hindu Goddess Durga. The temple is located on an island at the middle of Lake Phewa. Visitors need to take a small boat ride to get to the island. The temple is a two-story pagoda style design. You can also view the lush green hills surrounding the temple while enjoying peaceful atmosphere at the temple.
