Arrival in Kathmandu

Arrival in Kathmandu

You will then be transferred to your hotel, where a briefing will be provided regarding the necessary procedures, trekking route, and permits. Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to explore nearby temples or simply relax.
Drive to Pokhara
Pokhara Lakeside - Travel from Kathmandu to Pokhara via a tourist bus. Typically, these buses depart at 7:00 a.m. from Kathmandu and the journey takes approximately 6-7 hours, subject to road conditions. Upon reaching the hotel, you can rest, take a stroll around the lakeside, or enjoy paddling on the lake. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Drive to Naya Pool and Trek for about 3 hours (1065m, 3494ft)
Tikhedhunga - After breakfast, depart from Pokhara in a private vehicle. The scenic drive through the countryside takes about 2 hours to reach the hiking trail at Nayapul, where the Modi River meets the Burundi River. Follow the Burundi River upstream for about 3 hours to reach Tikhedhunga, a charming village with guesthouses where you will spend the night.
Climb to Ghorepani, approximately 5 hours of trekking (2860m, 9383ft)
Ghorepani - Begin the day with breakfast, then trek uphill to the village of Ulleri. The ascent involves about 3,000 stone steps and takes around 2 hours. From Ulleri, the trail gradually ascends through the forest for another 3 hours to reach Ghorepani at 2,855m. Ghorepani is a pass offering views of the deep Kali Gandaki valley, nestled between the peaks of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna. Overnight at a trekking lodge.
Hike to Poon Hill and Trek to Tadapani, 7 hours (3210m, 10531ft), (2630m, 8628ft)
Poon Hill - Poon Hill is renowned as one of the best viewpoints in the Annapurna region. A 50-minute walk takes you to Poon Hill at 3,200m to witness the sunrise over the Himalayas. Around 15 peaks can be seen, including Dhaulagiri I (8,167m / 7th highest), Annapurna I (8,091m / 10th highest), and Manaslu (8,156m / 8th highest). After breakfast, continue trekking to Tadapani.
Trek to Chhomrong, approximately 6 hours of trekking (2170m, 7119ft)
Chhomrong - From Tadapani, descend about 900 meters to the Gurjung River valley, then gradually ascend along the ridge to Chhomrong, a large Gurung village in the Annapurna Sanctuary corridor. The village offers close-up views of Annapurna South (7,219 m), Huuchuli, and Fishtail (6,993 m).
Trek to Dovan, about 5 hours of trekking (2600m, 8530ft)
Dovan - Trek down to Chhomrong Khola (river) and ascend to Sinwa for about 3 hours. Enter a steep valley towards Annapurna Sanctuary at the foothills of Annapurna South and Fishtail. From Sinwa, trek down to the Modi River at the small village of ‘Bamboo’ for 2 hours, then ascend for another hour to Dovan (2400m).
Day 8 Trekking to Deurali, about 6 hours (3230m, 10597 ft)
Deurali - Above Dovan, the effects of altitude become noticeable. Ascend slowly to another Himalayan hamlet in 2 hours. The trail is peaceful, with lush green forests and waterfalls. After the Himalayas (2,900m), continue to the rocky terrain for an hour to reach Hinku Cave. Deurali is across the challenging moorland, with streams and ice deposits. The remoteness of the Himalayas offers a refreshing and invigorating experience.
Trek to Annapurna Base Camp, about 4 hours (4130m, 13549ft)
Annapurna Base Camp Trek - The trail from Deurali to Fishtail Base Camp is prone to avalanches, so the route may change depending on conditions and season. It takes about 2 hours to reach Fishtail Base Camp at 3700 m. Here, the valley opens up with stunning snow-capped peaks. The trail to Annapurna Base Camp (4130 m/13550 ft) gradually ascends through the snowfield and glacier edge. At base camp, you are surrounded by some of the world’s tallest mountains.
Trek back down to Doban, about 7 hours (2600m, 8530ft)
Dovan - After witnessing the breathtaking sunrise over the Annapurnas, trek back towards Doban. The initial part of the trail is steep, followed by a gradual descent. Dovan is a river junction of two streams.
Trek back to Sinuwa, about 6 hours (2170m, 7119ft)
Trek to Jhinu and Drive back to Pokhara
Pokhara - Trek for about 2 hours to Jhinu, where you can enjoy a natural hot spring bath. Have lunch there, then drive back to Pokhara or continue trekking before returning to Pokhara. It’s time to change into fresh city clothes and savor the diverse culinary options in Pokhara’s fancy restaurants, along with a delightful hot shower.
