Tiger’s Nest: Taktshang or ‘ Tiger’s Nest, ‘ also referred to as the Taktshang Pelphung Monastery, is one of the most worshipped and prominent monasteries in Bhutan. It’s situated on the side of a 900 m mountain. An amazing and unforgettable location, but only accessible by walking or riding horse Taktshang was demolished by the people of the village of Tsento. Once in April 1998, the main frame of the building and its contents (some consider it to be arson) were destroyed by a massive fire.
