Starting from Jiri, which lies in the Dolakha district of Nepal, this Jiri to Everest trek takes you deep into the hills, forest, gorges and river banks leading directly to the base camp of the roof of the world. Jiri is the home of an ethnic group called the Jirels and Sherpa.
