Amazing trek and outstanding support - Himalayan Glacier Adventure Company is a first class operation….highly recommend. Excellent service, guides and management all worked tirelessly to make my trip to Nepal exceptional. Any worries or concerns were always addressed immediately. I was supposed to be traveling with a friend but due to medical reasons I ended up coming solo. It was a little intimidating coming to a strange land by myself to do a big trek alone as an older single woman. In my younger years I had more confidence in my abilities. I was met at the airport by Babu who welcomed me with a big smile and he had a driver take me to my hotel because it was 1:30 in the morning. He was waiting for other guests but since it was so late, he sent me ahead so I could get settled. I very much appreciated that as I was very tired. Before leaving for Lukla to begin the trek, I was getting anxious. Babu came to my rescue and helped calm me down. He met me to take me to the airport and direct me to where I needed to catch a helicopter to get to Lukla. He was so kind, reassuring and kept in touch with me during my journey and trek to make sure I was ok. When I arrived in Lukla to start my trek, I was met by my guide, Subash and my porter, Suman. Both had big smiles and could not do enough for me during the trek. Subash was an outstanding guide. He always made sure I was comfortable, had what I needed and helped and encouraged me along the trek. He was smart, kind, thoughtful and always a gentleman. I admired Subash’s ability to step in and help another trekker who was feeling ill and was able to help him feel better. I always felt safe and knew he had my best interest in mind every single day. He would monitor my oxygen levels every night and make sure I ate even when I didn’t feel hungry. He always prepared me for the next day by reviewing the trail, terrain, weather, what to carry in my day pack and anything else I needed to know to be successful. Suman, my porter, had a fabulous smile and great attitude. He was always smiling and always ready to help. I was particularly impressed how he quickly came to my aid and helped me pack my bag when in a moments notice we needed to get to a helicopter to try to leave Lukla. He was such a kind gentle soul and worked so hard every day. The manager, Raj, was instrumental in helping me and 4 other trekkers get out of Lukla when the weather was so bad. I don’t know how he did it, but he got us out when SO many others got stranded there for days. Upon my return to Kathmandu, Raj also helped me with a last minute getaway to Chitwan National Park. The driver did not show up in the morning to pick me up for the airport so Raj got a taxi and personally took me to the airport AND he also accompanied me inside to make sure I wouldn’t miss my flight. He made me feel as though I was his only client yet I knew he was coordinating logistics for the many other client they had as well. Upon my return from Chitwan, my guide, Subash, was waiting for me. It is so wonderful when flying into a strange place with a bit of chaos that you recognize a friendly smiling face. He had to wait for some other people who had been stuck in Lukla that were coming in by helicopter so he sent me with a driver back to the hotel. I travel a lot and good customer service is important to me. This company did not disappoint. From the moment I landed in Nepal, to the moment I left, Himalayan Glacier Company took care of everything for me. They went over and above all of my expectations. If you decide to trek in Nepal, I highly recommend using Himalayan Glacier Adventure Company. Please know, you will be in the best hands possible if you request Subash as your guide. Any challenge that may arise, you can feel confident that he will have your back and you will always be safe, happy and healthy on the mountain.

Very thankful for the support I received on this amazing adventure - Himalayan Glacier Trekking is a highly professional company that specializes in planning hiking trips through Nepal. I have had the privilege of hiking with them on two separate occasions. In 2022, I trekked to Annapurna Base Camp, and more recently, I completed the journey to Everest Base Camp. They offer a full-service experience, managing the logistics so you can focus on enjoying your trek without the stress of travel details. The team works seamlessly to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience. My most recent trek to Everest Base Camp was a fantastic experience, and I was incredibly grateful for my guide, Kapil, and my porter, Dipan. The weather was perfect, and everything went according to plan until the last day. When it was time to depart from Lukla to return to Kathmandu, the weather shifted, grounding all flights and leaving us stranded, along with hundreds of other tired hikers. I was beyond impressed by how Kapil handled this challenging situation. He remained proactive and solution-oriented throughout, constantly searching for ways to overcome the obstacles we faced. Several other travelers even commented on his ability to navigate the situation and wished their guides had the same level of skill. While there are many excellent guides in the area, I felt incredibly fortunate to have one who not only cared deeply but also had the expertise to resolve issues in difficult circumstances beyond anyone’s control.

It was a tough climb I am 74 yrs. old. The staff was very patient with me and understanding. - My guide and porter were exceptional. My guide could hear me slip turn and grab me by the arm preventing falls on a few occasions. He also advised me how to walk safely on the rocky trail. Shanker my guide also coached me on the names of all the peaks. My knee and back became sore and he carried my pack for me the last three days. My safety was always paramount to him. Great experience! My porter Depen carried my large pack to each destination with speed and safety. What beautiful scenery to boot. All the food you wanted to eat and the rooms were great Thanks Himalayan Glacier for the thrill of a lifetime.

A trip for the ages and memories for a lifetime!!! - My high school best friend and I decided to celebrate turning 50 by trekking to the 5300 m high Everest Base Camp. The journey was arduous to say the least but immensely fulfilling and left us with a feeling of accomplishment and well being. This would not however have been possible at all without the meticulously curated itinerary designed by Himalayan Glacier! From the very first information zoom call with Sabin Maharjan to being wonderfully guided, trained and advised by our Himalayan guide Kapil Dhital, we appreciated the expertise and professionalism with which our journey was organized. Moreover on the last day when we got stuck in Lukla due to flight disruptions, the immensely resourceful CEO of Himalayan Glacier Mr. Sagar Pandey pulled all the stops and arranged for us to be helicoptered back to Kathmandu from Lukla. This was truly above and beyond. When you travel with Himalayan Glacier, you are not just getting a tour company, you are in fact getting a friend for life.

Amazing Trip Made Seamless by Himalayan Glacier - They're my go-to travel company for Nepal - My first-time visiting Nepal was amazing and could not have been as enjoyable without the amazing team at Himalayan Glacier. If you visit Nepal, I'd highly recommend working with Himalayan Glacier. Sriju was my primary point of contact and she was amazingly responsive, helpful and organized. She helped me book extra hotel nights, arranged local taxis and also provided recommendations throughout Kathmandu that were a blast! Dev Giri (Giri) was my guide on the trek to EBC and he was the perfect guide. He's been guiding in Nepal for 35+ years and it showed! He knew all of the geographic information, but more importantly was able to advise me on altitude sickness and stomach sickness prevention to a level I couldn't imagine. He even knew which restaurants and teahouses made their eggs fresh and which places to avoid certain foods. He kept me healthy, happy and answered every (of many) question. I never felt hurried, hassled, confused or unsafe. Multiple other trekkers asked me who my guide was and which company I was travelling with because his expertise was easily visible. I will request working with Giri in every future trip to Nepal. I genuinely had a seamless trip to and from Nepal and in every aspect Himalayan Glacier was there to support me. I'll be coming back to trek to Annapurna basecamp and will 100% be booking with Himalayan Glacier.

Amazing trip to EBC with an overnight stay at basecamp - We successfully finished an amazing trip to Everest Base Camp 4 weeks back. This trip was very well organized by Himalayan Glacier and I have to hesitation to recommend them to my friends and family members. We were set up with our guide, Shankar and porters (Jeet & Lakshmi) who were very experienced, helpful, and trustworthy. I am extremely pleased with our guide, Shankar, and also the tour organizer Sabin throughout our journey. We planned our entire trip with Sabin by email and WA messages for a few months. He was very flexible to accommodate our requests. He helped us to create a final itinerary to fit our needs. Even before we arrived in Kathmandu, Sabin was very prompt in answering all our questions, giving us 5 or 6 itinerary options, changing the hotel reservations as we requested, and even organizing direct flights from Kathmandu to Lukla (instead of flying from Ramechaap). He kept us updated with the process and guided us through every step so that, once we arrived, everything was ready to go. The entire journey to EBC was incredible. The views cannot be described in words. We were also lucky to have clear weather almost every day. Our guide, Shankar is extremely knowledgeable about the entire route, all the peaks, heights of peaks, distances to each day’s destinations from any point, restaurants etc. He even knew a lot of people at every village. He was simply a great company during the entire trek. Whenever I wanted to stop to take some quick rest, or food or water or even to take pictures he waited patiently with me. Shankar showed concern for our health and safety. He measured our oxygen level diligently after every dinner. He helped us with ordering food and being ready on time every morning (filling water, coordinating with porters etc). He also entertained us after dinner by playing cards with us. He showed his knowledge and effectiveness as a seasoned guide multiple times. We changed our plan and decided to stay at Gorekshep one night instead of going to EBC directly from Lobuche. He quickly arranged our accommodations based on our changed plan at the last moment. Also, when my oxygen level went down after reaching EBC, he helped me even more during our night stay at the EBC tent. He and his colleagues of Himalayan Glacier arranged a helicopter back to Lukla the next morning. When our flight back to Ramechaap from Lukla was canceled because of the bad weather, Shankar and his colleagues from Himalayan Glacier arranged our return to Kathmandu very efficiently, exceeding our expectations. The founder and CEO of Himalayan Glacier, Sagar Pandey, met us in Kathmandu before and after our journey to EBC. Overall, we had a very good experience and we highly recommend Himalayan Glacier to arrange your trip if you are planning a trip to Nepal.
