One of the most unforgettable trips of my life! - My husband and I embarked on the 12-day Everest Base Camp (EBC) trek with Sherpa Expedition and Trek, starting on April 12th. From the moment we booked, the experience exceeded our expectations. The company's owner, Ram, was extremely helpful in organizing everything, and our Sherpa guide, Lhakpa, was truly exceptional. From the very start, he proved to be not only knowledgeable but also incredibly kind, patient, and always full of positivity. His constant smile and encouragement made even the toughest moments feel manageable. The first accommodation in Kathmandu wasn’t to our liking, but when we mentioned it to the team, they quickly arranged a new one without any hassle, which we really appreciated. It showed their dedication to making the experience as comfortable as possible. Throughout the trek, I struggled a bit with the long walks and felt anxious about crossing the suspension bridges—one of the most nerve-wracking aspects for me. However, Lhakpa's patience was remarkable. He stayed by my side, offering constant support, and never made me feel rushed. His deep understanding of the terrain and the challenges we faced was reassuring. We were also lucky to have an amazing porter, Ankemi. Although there was a language barrier, Lhakpa helped translate and communicate with him, and Ankemi’s quiet strength and hard work were so impressive. He carried our gear with such ease, even as we found the trek physically challenging. Despite the demanding nature of the EBC trek, the team went above and beyond to ensure we had an incredible experience. They made what could have been a grueling journey into one filled with beautiful memories. The breathtaking landscapes, the warmth of the Sherpa culture, and the support of our trekking team made this trip truly special. I can wholeheartedly recommend Sherpa Expedition and Trek for anyone considering the Everest Base Camp trek. They turned a difficult adventure into one of the most memorable experiences of our lives!

Best Experience of my Life with the best Trekking Company in Nepal! - I did the 17 days Everest Base Camp + Gokyo Lakes trail with Sherpa Expedition & Adventures in late September of 2024. It was an amazing experience! The views on the Trek were unreal! Some highlights were the Trek between Namche Bazaar and Dingboche, with breathtaking views of Ama Dablan, Lhotse and the Peak of Everest in the Backdrop of forest covered valleys with rivers, and also The view from the Top of Gokyo Ri. The best by far though was Kala Patthar, with close up views of mountains like Pumo Ri, Nuptse, Mount Everest, Ama Dablan and many more. I definitely have to mention my guide Santa. He was not only a very capable Mountain guide, but also a very funny and just overall nice companion on the Trek. He was very good at choosing suitable tea houses for our stay, whenever possible trying to get rooms with en-suite bathrooms. Every evening, he would check in on me how I was feeling and adjusting to the Altitude, and then talked me through what was planned for the next day, making adjustments if needed to guarantee I had the best experience. My porter Anish was also great. What I also need to point out is the great organisation that the Company offered. Everything was properly taken care of. Already before the trip whenever I messaged with a question, I got a helpful answer. Furthermore, due to Weather my flight to Lukla was cancelled two days in a row. Ram in the Kathmandu Office handled all the reorganising super well to get me to Lukla as soon as possible. My guide Santa also did an amazing job doing adjustments to my Itinerary for the first few days so we could cover the entire program without missing out on anything even with 2 days less. There is just nothing negative I can say about Sherpa Expedition & Adventures. You get exceptionally good service and for a very reasonable price as well. Next time I come to Nepal, I will definitely book with them again.

One amazing trip - I found Sherpa Expedition & Trekking while looking for a tour company willing to take my dad and I to EBC during monsoon season. The reviews sold us on the company and the tour surpassed our expectations. Ram was so helpful in organising and reassuring us in regards to our travel plans, knowing how risky it is flights will take off during monsoon season. We had the wonderful Furinji guiding us and Tilak as our porter. My dad and I have never trekked before, so the whole thing was new and exciting but we had no idea what we were in for. Furinji was so friendly, and knowledgeable, he was great at reminding us to rest when we needed it. And was happy to go at our own pace! Tilak was so helpful too, helping to dry our gloves by the fire when they got soaked by the days rain higher up 🤣 never mind the fact he carried two heavy bags up then down again!!! We had a wonderful experience with Sherpa Expedition and Trekking. We did borrow the sleeping bags (used higher up they were clean and warm), poles (sturdy! Functioned well) and jackets (didn't need to wear them once) for our trip. The tea houses we stayed in were clean and warm with lovely food, and some much needed hot showers at Periche. On return to Kathmandu, on suggestion from Fuirnji, we asked Ram if he had anyone he could recommend to take us out shopping and for coffee. He had another one of his amazing guides meet us at the hotel and took us out for the day, my only regret is not remembering his name. He was wonderful, finding us the best haunts for some shopping for our family members. An absolute trip of a lifetime and we are so thankful to Ram, Fuirnji and Tilak for making it happen.

Experience of a lifetime - Everest base camp trek is challenging in more ways than one but it's worth every hard moment for the highs! Not only of completing it but of being in company of the porters and guide: Wangchhu. He was so calm, reassuring, patient and knowledgeable and we felt safe in his hands. His energy meant we connected with him in such a beautiful way and his own personal life story that he shared stole our hearts. The teahouses we stayed in were surprisingly nice considering how high up you are and we always had decent food and drinks available. The company provided bags, sticks, sleeping bags and duffle coats that were all good quality. Don't overthink it just book - and you will be very lucky and grateful if you do it with Wangchhu as your guide!

A great experience from start to finish! - We had an incredible trip and were looked after very well every step of the way, from booking and planning with Ram to hiking and climbing with Gombu Sherpa and our amazing porter Nima. We also completed the Island Peak climb which was very challenging as our first altitude climbing experience but Gombu Sherpa was very patient and informative and made sure we felt safe and supported every step of the way. Lots of positive energy and everyone was always very approachable with any questions or issues. I hope to return to the Himalayas in the future and will definitely be looking to book with the same team again.

Great experience with Sherpa Expedition - My friend and I had a great experience with Sherpa expedition and trekking. We initially booked following an informed discussion with Ram, who manages the head office and is very knowledgeable / able to provide answers to all questions. Our trek was led by Gombu Sherpa and assisted by Nima who managed our bags. The entire trip from start to finish was well managed and organised by Gombu. Even on our hike of island peak his expert knowledge allowed us to summit even with limited climbing and ropes experience. Would definitely recommend the company and if we come back to Nepal in the future we will book with Sherpa Expedition and Trekking.

Incredible trek, incredible Sherpa and team - Such an incredible adventure with the best Sherpa and porters we could have asked for! Whilst the trek was challenging at times as expected, the bonds we made as a group along with the most amazing views, helped to make this challenge a once in a lifetime experience. Thank you to Ngawang Wangchhu Sherpa who was so uplifting and inspiring! The team worked so hard and I am very grateful for the memories.

From the first to the last moment they made this experience extremely memorable and we feel so grateful to call them our friends now. Lakpa was always there and made the greatest effort to make us feel as comfortable as possible. And he succeeded. Even when it came to difficulties regarding the altitude, he could not only offer great medical guidance but also emotional support and made us feel at home in an environment so different from our actual home.
