Kathmandu - Upon your arrival, proceed to the outside of the airport terminal where our representative will be waiting for you. They will welcome you and take you to the Hotel in the Heart of Kathmandu. They will also assist you in the check-in process. You can either have rest at the hotel or visit Nepal Guide office for gathering information about the trip. In the evening we will offer you welcome dinner.
Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla [2800m/9184ft][45 min flight] & Trek from Lukla to Phakding [2640m/8659ft] [3 hrs trek]
Phakding - After having breakfast at the hotel, you will move towards Tribhuvan International Airport for an early morning flight to Lukla. Lukla is the gateway to Khumbu and entire Everest Region. After landing at Lukla, you will follow the trail that is gradual uphill trekking through the left bank of Dudh Koshi River. You will pass along many Mani walls before you arrive at Ghat. From here, you will have both uphill and downhill trekking experiences towards Phakding.
Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar [3440m/11283ft] [5-6 Hrs Trek]
Namche Bazaar - Leaving Phakding you will cross a small stream and start ascending until you reach Bengar. From here too you have both uphill and downhill climbing. You will stop at the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park for registration. After paying the entry fee, you will make a steady climb towards Namche Bazaar- the Sherpa Capital. You will spend one more day at Namche Bazaar for exploration and acclimatization.
A day for rest at Namche Bazaar - for acclimatization.
Namche Bazaar - You will take a rest day at Namche. In fact, it is a day to adjust your body to the high altitude. For the same, you have to hike high and sleep low. That means you have to hike to a higher altitude and return to a lower elevation for sleeping. For acclimatization, you will take a day trip to Namche Bazaar. Here you will climb about 300m to the town of Khumjung. You will also visit the local monasteries and schools.
Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tyangboche [3867m/12683ft] [5-6 Hrs Trek]
Tyangboche - After spending a full day at Namche Bazaar, you will continue moving toward Tyangboche. The trail brings you to the Mongla pass at an altitude of 3,975m. Moving forward the trail offers you an awesome view of some adorable mountains and finally to the biggest and largest monastery of the region, Tyangboche.
Trek from Tyangboche to Dingboche [4260m/13972ft] [5-6 Hrs Trek]
Dingboche - On the sixth day, you will move through the lush alpine forest. You will come across several small villages on the way. Here you will have a great opportunity to see the mountain life. Passing through Khumbila Khola Valley and ascending towards the ridgeline, you will be awe stricken by surrounding landscape. The trail towards Dingboche offers you jaw dropping view of Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Cholaste and many others.
Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche [4930m/16170ft] [5-6 Hrs Trek]
Lobuche - Today you will head towards Lobuche via the steep terminal Moraine left by Khumbu Glacier. You might feel a little difficult while climbing uphill but the scene at the backdrop keeps you motivated. At the top of the hill, you will find numerous memorials for the climbers who have lost their lives climbing Mt. Everest. After climbing sometime you will reach to Lobuche.
Trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep [5180m/16990ft] then trek to Everest Base Camp [5380m/17646ft] and back to Gorakshep
Gorakshep - Finally, this is the most awaited day of the whole journey of Everest Base camp expedition. Today you will climb to the Everest Base Camp. You will set off early in the morning and move towards Gorakshep. On the trail to Gorakshep, you will see the Khumbu Glacier. As you come near to Gorakshep, the trail will become a little difficult. After spending a few minutes there, you will move forward to the Everest Base Camp slowly. Finally, you will be at the top of the Khumbu Glacier and after a while, you will see Khumbu Ice- fell. After a couple of hour’s walk, you will be at the site of your modest destination, the EBC. After having some marvellous time over there you will descend down the lateral moraine of Khumbu Glacier. You will climb down to Gorakshep and spend overnight there.
Morning Hike upto KalaPatthar [5545m/18187ft] and Trek to Pheriche [4243m/13917ft] [5-6 Hrs Trek]
Pheriche - Today you will hike to the highest point of your trek, Kalapatthar. Mt. Everest cannot be seen from the base camp because Mt. Lhotse sits right in front of it. So, it is considered the best viewpoint in the entire Khumbu Region. From here you will have an all-round view of entire Himalayas. The view from the top is incredible. Finally, you will start heading towards Pheriche.
Trek from Pheriche to Tyangboche [3867m/12683ft] [5-6 Hrs Trek]
Tyangboche - Today you will be moving down towards Tyangboche. The trail goes easy downhill till Pangboche Village. Then the trail descends to the riverside to cross the bridge over Imja Khola and continues to climb up to Tyangboche.
Trek from Tyangboche to Namche Bazaar [3440m/11283ft] [4-5 Hrs Trek]
Namche Bazaar - A steep descend from Tyangboche leads you to the Dudh Koshi River. You will cross the suspension bridge over Dudh Koshi and move towards Phunki Tenga. You will also pass the village of Tashinga and Sansa to reach Namche Bazaar. You will spend the overnight in a local tea house at Namche.
Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla [2800m/9184ft] [5-6 Hrs Trek]
Lukla - The last day of your EBC Climbing with Nepal Guide Treks and Expedition leads from Namche Bazaar to Lukla. You will continue descending through the densely forested area. The walk remains pleasant in its short ups and downs and finally crossing the Bhote Koshi River thrice. A final uphill climb about 45 minutes brings you back to Lukla.
Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu [45Min flight]
Kathmandu - After having breakfast, you will take an early morning scenic flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. You will be transferred to the hotel. You can either have rest in the hotel or visit the busy streets of Thamel. Walking around the busy streets of Thamel can be worth spending quality time in Kathmandu. In the evening you will sit together with us in the farewell dinner organised by Nepal Guide Treks and Expedition for celebrating the completion of the trek successfully.

Kathmandu - With final goodbyes, you will be heading towards your home. Our representatives of Nepal Guide Treks and Expedition will drop you at the International Airport as per your flight schedule. - Our Everest Base Camp Trekking cost inclusion includes the accommodation if three star rated hotel in Kathmandu. Matching the customer preference and required we can easily upgrade the accommodation status. During the trekking days, you will be provided with accommodation in available tea hoses lodges. Depending on the number of pax your accommodation will be arranged in – Single, Double, Triple or Twin Sharing as per your requirements. It may occur that you may have to share the twin sharing rooms with other trekkers but in that condition, proper safety and security of your belongings will be done. Attached toilets may not be available in every tea houses, so you need to get out and make use the public toilet for your convenience.
- During your time spent in Kathmandu, we provide you BB plan – Bed and Breakfast program. However, you will be provided with all meals on board (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) during the entire trek duration. Wide varieties of food from all around the globe will be offered on the menu. One of the major plus points of staying the teahouses is that they serve healthy food in very orderly manner. Another thing that we must keep in mind is that we will eat our dinner after reaching the teahouse and the following morning we will have our breakfast at the same teahouse lodge. Similarly, we will enjoy our lunch en-route while heading to the next destination.
- Everest Base Camp Trekking is a moderate and adventurous trekking trip that demands trekkers with ability to walk 5-6 hours a day. The trails along the Everest Base Camp rises soundly above 5000 meters from the sea level. Trekking in the high altitude give briths to unexpected high altitude sickness, hence trekking slow and in a steady pace would be a perfect solution in such conditions appear. We recommend trekkers to maintain physical fitness (jogging, cycling, swimming etc) prior to couple of day before the actual trekking date. High mountaineering skills are not required for this trek however previous trekking experience is a merit for Everest Base Camp Trekking.
- Classified as the best season for Everest Base Camp Trekking are:3 months in Spring ( March, April, May) & 3 months in Autumn (September, October, November)
- Above mentioned months are considered as the best season for Everest Base Camp Trekking. Clear weather allows trekkers to enjoy the best mountain sceneries while getting the absolute best trekking experience. For trekkers who prefer trekking in less crowdy time of the year – December, January and February is probably the best time for trekking in the Everest region. Categorised as the monsoon season (June, July and August) is highly affected by rain and therefore is no good for trekking.
