Great for solo female travelers - I am so glad I did this. I was a female solo traveller and I had my own guide. I could walk at my own pace without any rush or pressure. My guide took care of me the entire time by giving directions, tips on what to eat, how to keep myself warm, how to avoid altitude sickness, etc. I always felt safe and I was able to enjoy all the sights every single day of the trek no matter what the weather. I was successful thanks to their care. Highly recommended!

Successful EBC trek - I did the 12 day Everest Base Camp trek. Everything was well organized, and I even got upgraded to return from Lukla to Kathmandu in a helicopter at no extra cost because of bad weather. My guide Raj was reliable.

Incredible experience! - An incredible journey! Arjun was absolutely wonderful and always available to answer any questions. He arranged for a discounted helicopter journey from Kathmandu to Lukla when my flight was delayed. Also managed to arrange for a free helicopter ride from Lukla to Kathmandu when my flights were delayed again! Dilip (my guide) was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and kind, made the journey enjoyable.
Would highly recommend Green Valley - I look forward to coming back for more treks.

EBC trek Feb 2025 - Bishwa was the best guide!!! He was so respectful, fun, and motivational during the entire trek. We had a group of 14, and all of our porters (Jeet, Hari, Bhupendra, Tiras, Dhan, Nabin, and Madan) were extremely sweet and we couldn’t have done it without them!! They even helped carry our bags on our additional hike to Kala Patthar for sunset, and really motivated us up the mountain. The trek was so beautiful and well maintained for the majority of the time. Can’t recommend this company enough!!

Amazing Everest Base Camp with Green Valley Nepal Trek company - We recently hiked Everest Base Camp with Green Valley Trekking Company in Nepal and had an amazing experience. Our guide, Gokarna, was fantastic—knowledgeable, attentive, and passionate about the local culture and landscapes. He made sure we were comfortable and safe throughout the trek.
Our porter, Surendra, was equally impressive. He was strong, efficient, and always cheerful. Together, Gokarna and Surendra created a supportive and enjoyable atmosphere, making the trek unforgettable.
Arjun assisted us with booking the trip and helped us tailor the trip to fit our needs. He was really helpful throughout the trip.
I highly recommend Green Valley Trekking Company, especially if you can have Gokarna an and Surendra with you!

Best guide ever, the only company to trek with! - Green Valley is the absolute best, for trekking to EBC you couldn't ask for more. We had a superb time. Everything was done for us smoothly (including managing several cancelled flights in a row). Communication with head office was great. Seamless airport pickup and hotel check in. We were even taken to the bus park with a private van and guide for our onwards journey after the trek. Our trekking guide, Bishwa, went above and beyond to make our trek memorable. He even helped us shop for gear the night before we left. On the trek we received plenty of positivity and care from our guide, especially as we were both unwell. We also appreciated how much local knowledge and culture we learned from him - he dedicatedly made sure we visited the museums, important cultural sites, and suggested lots of extra things to do (ie watch the sunrise from a special vantage point in Tengboche) that made the trip even more memorable. He was so knowledgeable about the region, too. He expertly navigated us through a shortened/sped up trip (did the trek in 9 days instead of 11), altitude sickness, and the rest. We trusted him completely and had a very memorable time. Our only feedback to green valley in general was the tipping expectation, which is a fraught subject across cultures. An extra 10-15% on the advertised price ($15USD per day pp) is expected as a tip for the guide, which was a fairly large unexpected expense (we still did it, because we loved him). Personally I'd prefer that this extra amount was just included in the upfront cost and the guides paid accordingly, to avoid the shock and moral conundrum that tipping culture inevitably creates for those who don't come from a tipping culture (Aussies!). Overall, would recommend these guys to anyone and everyone. Thank you so much Green Valley!!!

Amazing Everest Base Camp Trek - Organized and very much well taken care off by my guide Birkazi throughout the trek. He explained every night the plan and what to expect the next day and was always asking how I was doing/feeling. He and my porter, Ramkazi, made the trip very memorable. He was very knowledgeable on the mountains, rivers and landscapes we passed thru. His experience being a guide for 25 years definitely showed.
We got to base camp and enjoyed the sunset on Kala Patthar. On the way back, the weather got pretty bad at lukla and flights got canceled, but Birkazi was quick in coordinating a jeep transfer from Surke (1hr hike down from Lukla) to Kathmandu.
The hotel in Kathmandu (Surya Heritage) was also nice with good food and at. great location.
I highly recommend Green Valley for trekking in Nepal. Exceptional service at reasonable prices. Will definitely come back to Nepal and go with them again.

Everest Base Camp Trek. - We recently did the EBC trek with Green Valley Nepal Treks and had the best experience! We were slightly nervous going in winter (Feb 2025) but had perfect weather. There were two of us trekking and we had Purshu as our guide and Kerman as our porter. They could not have been better. Incredibly helpful and attentive to our needs and our safety at all times. The trek was hard work at times, but so rewarding. Accommodation and food was good and exactly what we had expected having been well briefed by Raj (in Katmandu) and Purshu. We had originally planned to trek to EBC and take a helicopter from Gorashep back to Katmandu, however due to a local ongoing dispute only rescue helicopters are flying into/out of Gorashep. We had plenty of spare days (as contingency days for weather) so upon arrival in Katmandu before our trek started, we were able change our itinerary by adding 3 days to walk back to Lukla from EBC and fly to Katmandu from there. All of the changes and logistics were dealt with readily by Raj and we did not skip a beat. Thanks for an incredible trip!!!

EBC, Goyko and 2 Pass trek - Great trip had with a good guide Bir Kaji. 15 days in the cauldron of the beautiful Himyalan mountains. The trip via helicopter was stunning after a 12 hour wait in Kathmandu airport made it all the sweeter. Arriving in Surke we did not have too much light remaining before we started out 2 hour hike to Pak Ding for our first stop. My porter and another of the companys guides met us and we made the night trek up some lovely steps.
The trip was incredible and has given me a lot more interest in coming back again. I was super happy I had done the trip anticlockwise which suited my trip as I was doing only 2 passes so they were at the end.

Everest Base Camp - I’m disappointed to give this review as I actually think Green Valley as a company is well organised, friendly and helpful and I did enjoy trekking to Everest Base Camp.
My experience however, was impacted and clouded by the guide provided to my group: Dilip.
He is a friendly gentleman and did his best to accommodate our needs, however his English was very poor making it difficult to communicate and understand the requirements of each day. I was also disappoint by the lack of knowledge and history he shared about Sherpas and the area, despite my attempts at asking questions. He also failed to take us to the Sherpa museum on our acclimatisation day despite it being written on our itinerary.
My main issue however occurred due to the severe altitude sickness I experienced on the trek. Dilip failed to recognise my symptoms as altitude sickness and continued to push me to ascend despite my constant vomiting and diarrhoea. He’d previously mentioned having a first aid kit full of things he could use to help us if we experienced altitude sickness, however when I asked he simply said ‘hopefully you’ll feel better tomorrow’ and continued to say this for the 6 days that I was vomiting up every meal. He would also get offended when I didn’t want to order meals despite me telling him over and over about my problems. It was difficult to feel safe trekking at high altitude with such an experience.
Our porters were great however, and every other aspect of the trip went smoothly, it’s unfortunate that the guide plays such a big role in the experience otherwise I wouldn’t have to rate the experience so low.
