Gokyo Lake Trek - great trek in the Everest region - Me, my wife & our elder son (part of hike) did Gokyo Lake trek in May 2024. This is a bit shorter than EBC (92km instead of 103 km) but the views are much better. As probably many of you know, one cannot see Mt Everest from EBC, but you get a much better panoramic view from Gokyo. This is still a very challenging hike and if you plan to hike in 2025, you should start working out & training for it right now. Nepal takes its trekking very seriously so in the worst-case scenario helicopter rescue is available at many of the villages along the trails. Warm food, hardworking guides/porters make the treks very bearable and the villages along the trail have "tea houses" which means you have roof over your head & clean toilets as well. So, you don't have to worry about staying in tents - even at altitude of 4800m. Weather in May has been increasingly cloudy/rainy + a lot of smog. Visibility was poor during the hike except for the day we climbed Gokyo Ri peak (5300meters). I would recommend that you reconsider doing Gokyo hike instead of EBC and do it in the month of October (will be colder than May for sure). From Gokyo Ri one can see four 8000m+ peaks including Mt. Everest. In terms of duration, I agree that 10-12 days seems to be on the lower side. Acclimatization is part of the overall schedule, but everyone does struggle with lower oxygen levels above 3500m no matter what. Please keep 2-3 days of buffer time for extra rest/flight delays. Flights to/from Kathmandu to Lukla can get suspended all the time (sometimes for many days at a stretch) during May due to poor visibility. We ended up paying extra for helicopter ride but even for that we had to wait at Kathmandu airport for more than half a day because visibility was poor even for helicopters. Our guide Shiva is a fantastic guide. He is knowledgeable, encouraging & resourceful. He arranged good hotels for us and also took good care of us in terms of food preferences and other needs. I would highly recommend him & accessible adventures to anyone planning to do a hike in Nepal.

Outstanding Trekking Tour with perfect organization - RenjoLa-Pass, Gokyo Lakes, ChoLa-Pass and Everest Base Camp. This individual Tour organized by Accessible Adevnture was done by me and my both grown up daughters from 07.-22.April 2022. Hari Kunar Shresta patiently answering thousends of question in advance. He took care of us with the airport pickup and during our hotel stay, organized a helicopter flight in advance to avoid any delays in our itenary, which finally was a great idea as next 3 days all plane flights were cancelled. Our guide Shiva Shresta, gave a lot of explanations to mountains, nature and culture. Always good humored, he and his both buddies brought us thru the all ups and downs during this Trek. It was an outstanding, breath taking experience and we are so thankful to find new friends with the complete Team of Accessible Adventures. If we ever come back to Nepal for a Trek there is no doubt we will meet again to summit a Peak, maybe Mt.Schwuppdiwupp :-) Thank you very much to the complete Team. Martin R.

Your organization was the best we have dealt with. - I wanted to write you a note thanking you, your team and especially Himal for the quality of our Gokyo Lake Trekking trip and the professionalism you treated us with. Yvonne and I have done several similar trips together and I can easily say that your organization was the best we have dealt with. In particular, I deeply appreciated the way Himal and you helped me once I got sick -- it was above and beyond the normal service levels. I am recovering quickly and Yvonne and I are already discussing possible future adventures.

The experience of a lifetime - I as of late came back from climbing to Annapurna Base Camp and I am so grateful to Accessible Adventure, particularly my brilliant guide Himal, the president Hari, and Lok, for making this adventure unique and life-changing. Two or three months back I chose to take a solo outing to Nepal and climb in the stunning Himalayas. I began searching for a trekking organization and after cautiously perusing the audits and input of a few offices, I settled on Accessible Adventure. The way that they are appraised #1 and they are likewise a local organization, and this was additionally strengthened once I begun speaking with Hari about my sightseeing plans. He was constantly accessible to respond to any inquiries I had. The trek to ABC was the best trekking experience I've had and I'm exceptionally appreciative for Himal, who not exclusively was an accomplished and very learned guide with incredible relational abilities, also he was a sort of amusing, and constructive individual. I found out so much about the Nepalese culture in the towns we had stayed in the Annapurna Sanctuary, and that made the trek much progressively fun. At the point when we would land at the teahouse we would remain for the evening, I generally had a comfy space to stay in. The organization has an awesome relation with the teahouses and this is significant, particularly as you draw nearer to the base camp and there aren't sufficient spaces for everybody. At base camp I met a couple of individuals who needed to stay in tents or sheds, while me; I had a comfy room in the teahouse. Himal went well beyond to guarantee my prosperity, ensuring that I am eating admirably and that I am remaining hydrated. We kept a steady calendar and luckily I didn't have any AMS or some other medical problems. I am as of now considering my next trek in Nepal and for sure I will contact Accessible Adventure. From the minute I landed at the Kathmandu air terminal until the day I was dropped off, everything was composed so expertly and perfectly by Hari and his group. Accessible Adventure goes the additional mile and they really make their customers' solace and prosperity the top need. I urge everybody who needs to trek in Nepal to contact this superb trekking organization.
