What an epic experience! - This was such an incredible experience, that I can only highly recommend! Our guide Aayam came to pick us up right on time and brought us to the blacksmith home. The knife making process was such an awesome experience, and really special to be a part of. The whole process was explained in detail, and we also got historical origins of the Gurkha warriors! This felt like a much more immersive experience than most other tourist activities, and you get to keep an awesome personalized Gurkha knife as a souvenir (beware it is super sharp)! During the workshop were served some delicious local tea and some snacks, which was also such a nice surprise! I was lucky to meet all three company founders which were a pure delight, and hilarious to be around! The fact that the hole company is run by queers, for queers makes the whole experience that much more special, and it was really great to learn about the queer community in Kathmandu. If you are looking for a more unique cultural experience in Kathmandu, and you want to feel like a total badass, then this experience is for you!
