Relaxed EBC Pilgrimage (Escape Himalaya) - Escape Himalaya planned the EBC and Gokyo mountaineering in Taiwan a year ago. The reasonable price meets our budget, the Guide Group and Porters serve our group of 13 people, with the experience of flexible arrangements for high mountain riders to base camp and timely withdrawal, so that all 13 of us reach the EBC safely, it is difficult. Joining Raj’s Escape team gave me the peace and pleasure of this EBC pilgrimage and the perfect experience at Gokyo, a mountainous lake.

Amazing trekk - We did the EBC and chola passes trek with Escape Himalaya trek Communication prior to the trip was perfect and clear. The trip itself was, although demanding, a great experience. Raj was our guide, and made sure everything ran smoothly. Even though we had some drawbacks Raj knew how to tailor the itenerary so that we would achieve all our goals. High level of trekking and mountain guide. Compared to other agencies, Escape Himalaya Trek succesfully tries to add a bit of extra service resulting in a higher-end experience

Trip of a Lifetime! - I completed a trek to EBC in Nov 2023 with Escape Himalaya and Raj as our guide. Raj was absolutely amazing, he was so knowledgeable and professional. You can tell he really cares about giving his clients the best experience and taking care of everybody. Our porters, Khud and Depak were great also and we couldn’t have done the trek without their assistance. Without a doubt I would recommend Escape Himalaya to anyone looking for a trekking company in Nepal.

Amazing Trek to EBC with this Group! - Raj with Escape Himalaya is hands down the best guide for any trek in the Himalayas! We did a private EBC trek (November 15th through the 25th) and had an absolutely amazing time. Throughout the duration of the trek Raj, and both our porters, Depak and Khud, did an excellent job of keeping us safe along the way. This group has many years of experience guiding and it shows. They are extremely knowledgeable, professional, and helpful every step of the way. From the airport pickup to the accommodations, and helping us maintain safe trekking speeds to avoid altitude sickness, everything ran smoothly, adding to the overall experience of the trip.
If you are looking to do any of the treks offered through Escape Himalaya, you will not regret going with this company - they are the best!!

Mardi Himal trekking and Chitwan trip - I did the Mardi Himal trekking and the Chitwan trip in Sept 2023. Escape Himalaya was my choice of travel agency again this time. I was very pleased that Raj, the manager and the top guide, led the whole trip in person. He is a very nice person and is an experienced, trustworthy and caring guide. With the well organised arrangements in the trekking, transportation, accommodation, meals, etc., the whole trip was completed satisfactorily and safely. I would strongly recommend the choice of Escape Himalaya and Raj for trekking trip in Nepal.

Everest base camp trek - We did an EBC trek with an amazing guide Krishna and we really enjoyed it! The trek was not physically challenging, well planned and with beautiful mountain views.
We were quite lucky with the weather: there was only one rainy day and the rest of the trek was sunny and warm. We did the trek at the beginning of high season, so there were quite a lot of trekkers.
During the trek we stayed in guest houses located in small villages. Guest houses provide a blanket and a pillow, you do need some additional layers for higher altitude (sleeping bag, clothes) as there is no heating in the bedrooms. It is generally not recommended to drink tap water in Nepal, but you can buy bottled water in every village, or use tap water with filters and purifying tablets.
The trek of course comes with its own challenges, but we would really recommend it: lots of new experiences, beautiful photos to take home and amazing memories!

Everest View Family Trip - We had an amazing and unforgettable Everest View trip. Raj and his team make sure we get the safest, and comfortable family trip. Our 11 and 9 y.o. girls got their first experience to Nepal and enjoying it a lot. Since we're taking our trip on June which is a monsoon season and the opportunity to see Everest's peak were very small, Raj do his best till the last day to give us the best scenery to see the peak. We really appreciate his effort. Attentive, full of experience, good knowledge, fun and extra careful are their strength.

Amazing trek to Everest Base Camp - Did the EBC base camp trek with Escape Himalaya. The experience was amazing. The guide Gokarna and porters Tej and Khud were very helpful and attentive, and great flexibility in adjusting the Trekking program based on the team's progress. The team is a hybrid team from Nepal Hiking Team (2 pax) and Escape Himalaya (myself).
The route for the Trek can be challenging at times but the team is always full of energy and enthusiasm. Overall felt the program to be manageable though the last 3 days of descend could be quite tenuous for some (the ascend takes 8 days in comparison). The most intense day would have to be the summitting of Kala Patthar on day 10, at ~5640m (according to GPS), and the descend back to Pheriche on the same day (our team decided to descend further to Pangboche so that day was even longer). Nonetheless, the guide and porters never let up their energy even on these longer days.
The accommodations are simple but pleasant. As we travelled in the shoulder season, the accommodations are not as crowded and there is ample space at the common areas at the teahouses. At the higher elevations (Lobuche, Gorakshep), electricity is limited at night so the rooms can become really dark (like you cannot see your hand kind of dark). I was fortunate to get a single room for the entire trek.
The food during the trek was surprisingly good. Hint: in general, the Nepalese/"Asian sounding" dishes tasted better than the western counterparts. My favourites are Dal Bhat with Vegetable Curry, Potato with Fried Egg on top and Fry Noodle with Egg (wai wai noodle). The guide even helped us arrange special combinations of meals (ie. 1 lunch serving shared between 2 people, so that the "meal credit" could be used in dinner for dessert, etc).
Though I have a little request for anyone coming to EBC - train for it. The more physically prepared you are, the more you will enjoy the trek and less you will "suffer".
