Sightseeing at Kathmandu by biking - We had an amazing time watching and enjoying the beautiful scene of Kathmandu through biking. As expected the rider arrived at right time and we could enjoy the view through the ascending hills.

Better organisation needed - Four of us booked a day trip to the 3 main temple sites in Kathmandu followed by a 40km ride out to the Namobuddha, 2 riding pillion with the guides & 2 solo riders. The bikes should have arrived at our hotel 9:00, this was altered to 9:30 and then 10:15 but eventually turned up closer to 10:30, their office was a 5 minutes from the hotel. We were then told that the bikes had little fuel & needed filling before commencing the tour. It was also made very clear to the lead guide that myself & the other solo rider did not know where we were going and we should have one guide at the front and another to the rear. Almost immediately the lead guide shot off at break neck speed with the rear guide in hot pursuit, losing us in the process. This meant another half an hour lost while co-ordinating on our phones to regroup – and then obtaining fuel for the bikes. It was now well gone 11:00 and we could see no hope of fullfilling the day's schedule. We ended up 40km from Kathmandu having lunch at 16:00 (after being told it would be ready on arrival at 15:00) with no hope of seeing the Namobuddha. The two passengers were put in taxis back to Kathmandu as by now a thunderstorm was raging and it had turned dark. Myself and the other solo rider had to ride back 40km to Kathmandu in the dark and in pouring rain because of poor organisation. Had we left on time with fuelled bikes we would have seen everything and been back before the storm in daylight. In most other aspects this firm seem to get decent reviews but in respect of motorcycle tours – they need to get their act together. Not a "terrible" rating as the Enfield bikes were fun to ride.
