Sankhu Village - The Kathmandu Skyline Trek commences after breakfast with a 90-minute drive to the charming village of Shankhu. Leaving behind the bustling streets of Kathmandu, the tranquil countryside of the valley unfolds, presenting picturesque views of fields and farms interspersed with villages where time appears to have paused.

Nagarkot Hiking - The trek starts in Shankhu, leading uphill through terraced farmlands towards Nagarkot, situated on the northeastern edge of the valley. The hike lasts approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, offering breathtaking views of five of the world’s 14 highest peaks. In Nagarkot, guests will stay in a comfortable hotel where they can enjoy a stunning sunset over the Himalayas.

Trek to Dhulikhel (Elevation 1550 m/5,085 ft)

Nagarkot View Tower - The day begins before dawn, heading to a scenic vantage point to witness the sunrise over the Himalayas. As the first light touches the horizon, watch the sun’s rays reach Mount Everest. While not always visible, on clear days, Everest reveals itself as the sun rises, transforming the peaks from grey to glowing red, and then to dazzling white.

Nagarkot to Dhulikhel Hiking - After sunrise, enjoy breakfast before heading to Dhulikhel. The journey winds through picturesque forests filled with rhododendron trees, which bloom in vibrant color during March and April. Along the way, you’ll pass small ethnic villages and take in breathtaking views of the Himalayas to the north.

Dhulikhel - Dhulikhel, a serene town east of Kathmandu, is known for its panoramic views of the Himalayas and rich cultural heritage. Namo Buddha (Stupa) - The Dhulikhel to Namo Buddha hike is a scenic trek that takes about 3-4 hours through traditional villages, terraced fields, and lush forests, offering beautiful Himalayan views along the way. Namo Buddha is a revered Buddhist pilgrimage site where, according to legend, Prince Mahasattva (a previous incarnation of Buddha) offered his life to a starving tigress and her cubs. The site is marked by a serene stupa and the Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery, attracting pilgrims and trekkers alike.

Balthali - The hike from Namo Buddha to Balthali Village takes around 2-3 hours, passing through scenic terraced fields, forests, and traditional villages.
