The Tsum valley beyul is very special - We went to the Tsum Valley and then to Manaslu, and had a super great time! The organization was first class starting with the meeting at the airport when we arrived. The vehicle transportation to the start of the trek was exceptional. The guides were super helpful, caring, considerate and fun. The Tsum valley is a beyul, a sacred valley that radiates peace out to the whole world. We found that area particularly wonderful and heart warming, with great views, and wonderful people. I recommend that before going to the beyul visitors learn more and study the importance of this sacred area. One source of information is the web site Nepalbeyul. The guides selected the tea houses on the route and were very thoughtful and kind in looking after us. Thanks for a great trip!

True heaven - Manaslu trek experience with Nepal Alternative Treks Expedition (Tej ji and his team) has been one of the most memorable ones. Right from day one, where Tej ji gave the briefing, there was an instant connect with him and his team. Through out, the trek lead (nausher) ensured that all of us were well looked out for. He observed all team members very subtly, understood the strengths and weaknesses of each of us and never left anyone alone. All the porters – Brian, Ram, Raju + Raju, (what stamina!) were total fun, kept us engaged with stories, songs and humor. It was a difficult trek but the entire team made it look like a piece of cake with their constant support and encouragement. I must say a very special thanks to Nausher and Brian. On the penultimate day, the landscape was covered with unexpected snow from the previous afternoon. My hands froze when we started the trek early morning. Both Nausher and Brian not just helped to revive the cold hands and my senses, but were watching over throughout the day. Probably the most difficult day of the trek, but very well managed by the trek lead and his team. The finale dinner with and by Tej ji was so warm. It felt like a family gathering and I have come back with a lot of lovely memories and warmth from this entire experience. Thank you Tej ji and team for a well organized, thought through trek experience. Look forward to more treks with you.

Our amazing Manaslu circuit trek with NATE - I had been with NATE to Annapurna Base Camp trek in 2022 and again to Manaslu Circuit trek in April- May this year. I am thoroughly impressed with how Tej Gurung handles dealings with the trekking teams and how NATE guides and porters address day to day needs for trekkers during treks. I look forward to go with them on some other trek in Nepal soon. I would also like to especially call out NATE's guide Nausher and porters Bryan, Ram, the two Rajus, Buddha.... in fact all the porters for their helpful attitude and everyday support to our team of 13 people ranging from a 14 year old to several 50+ year olds. I miss the great time spent with you.

A very special trip - This was just a great trip. We went to the Tsum valley, and then on to Manaslu. The trip was really well organized and the guides were a lot of fun. It was a day's travel to the start of the trip via land cruiser and the driver was really excellent because the roads were quite wild. Along the route we stayed in really good tea houses on the food was excellent. Highlight for us was one. The Tsum valley, this is because the Tibetan Buddhist culture is really alive in the valley. It feels very special and sacred to be there. It is known as a Bayul. 2. The area right around manisul King was especially beautiful. 3, The rivers in canyons on the walk-in to both areas was truly spectacular. We highly recommend this trip and this company.

A great time in the mountains - Hiking through Nepal has been a bucket list item for myself and group of friends who decided to head over this year my partner started looking into tour company’s once we all agreed on doing Manaslu/tsum valley and found that you must have a guid todo these hikes we stumbled across Nepal alternative treks and decided to reach out. Tej was super helpful through the whole process of booking the right trek for us to dates, what to bring, what to expect and everything in between before flying out of Australia we were all at ease knowing we were in good hands. On the trek our guid Minh and our two porters Membar and Bir were the best we could have ask for from learning their different cultures, bits of their language and different games to pass the time in the tea houses. I had an amazing time the whole way through and knew I was in good hands! I can’t wait to get back to Nepal and do it all over again tej has a great team out on the trails and really knows how to run a business! His company is a must if you are looking to trek through Nepal

Professional Team and Excellent services - We, 13 people from Thailand, did Manaslu Circuit Trekking with Nepal Alternative Treks & Expeditions on 2-16 Oct. 2023. We had a great trip with the team. They were very helpful and saved us from the landslide. Tej designed the tour program depending on our request by staying 2 nights in Samdo which has a great viewpoint. The program is very flexible for us, changing upon the present situation. We really appreciate all the hard work to service us. If you find a professional travel company in Nepal, Nepal Alternative Treks & Expeditions is highly recommended.

Great experience. If I will ever come back to Nepal, I know the company who will guide me) - Forst of all, I have to say that the trek is amazing, the most beautiful I have ever been: you start from jungle, with wild monkeys and luxuriant greenery and go up to severe winter, with extreme cold and high snow, and than back to summer )) My experience was particularly nice because we had the perfect backup and an excellent team of guidance: Yugal Lama, our guide, helped us through all the way, guided us with care and dilligence and also told us a lot about the culture and history of Nepal. Our two porters, Sandjay and Amtarp (not sure if I write correctly their names) were also very helpful and attentive to our needs. I enjoyed the trek and never had any bother with logistics: we always stayed at nice loggings, ate tasteful local meals and just had fun. Thank you!
