Drive from Kathmandu to Machha-Khola: 7-8 Hours
Budhigandaki - Start your day with an early breakfast at the hotel, then check out. Our team will pick you up and transport you to the bus park or provide a private vehicle. Enjoy a scenic journey by bus or jeep to Machha-Khola, the starting point of the Manaslu Area and Trek. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at the Machha-Khola Hotel.
Traveler’s Note: Machha-Khola is a small town known for its local market, serving the northern part of the Gorkha District. The town, predominantly Buddhist and Hindu, is situated on the banks of the Bhudhi Gandaki River, originating from the Tsum Valley and Larke Pass. The route mostly follows the Budhi Gandaki River, offering views of waterfalls, monkeys, rice fields, lush forests, and, weather permitting, the first glimpses of the Ganesh Himal. Keep an eye out for waterfalls and local landmarks along the way.
Trek from Maccha Khola to Jagat
Jagat - After breakfast, depart from Machhakhola and begin the trek to Jagat. The trail leads through a beautiful forest, offering opportunities to spot wildlife such as monkeys, birds, and deer. You’ll also pass several waterfalls and a mani wall, a wall of stones inscribed with Buddhist prayers.
In the afternoon, arrive in Jagat, a small village at the foot of the Ganesh Himal. Jagat is a popular stop for trekkers, with several teahouses and lodges available. Enjoy dinner and relax at your lodge in the evening.
Traveler’s Note: Today offers stunning views of the Ganesh and Shingri Himal. From Jagat, the previously restricted trekking area begins, adding to the adventure!
Jagat trek to Deng
Jagat - The trek from Philim to Deng is relatively easy. The trail starts with a gentle uphill, followed by a flat plateau. You’ll reach a river crossing, where you cross a suspension bridge over the Bhudi Gandaki River to enter Philim village.
From Philim, the trail continues uphill to Ekle Bhatti, a small village atop a ridge. From Ekle Bhatti, cross another suspension bridge and descend into Deng.
Deng is a small village in the middle of a valley, with several teahouses and lodges for an overnight stay. Enjoy dinner and relax at your lodge in the evening.
Traveler’s Note: Today’s destination is Deng, where you can try delicious local food. As you proceed, cross the Siyar Khola bridge and reach a junction where the trail splits to Tsum Valley on your right. Continue to Deng for an overnight stay.
Deng trek to Namrung
Namrung - After breakfast, head down to the riverside, cross the bridge, and climb to Ranagoan. Continue trekking to Bihi Phedi. The trail splits; take the right-hand path to Ghap. After passing through Ghap village, climb to Namrung. Enjoy dinner and stay overnight in Namrung village.
Traveler’s Note: Today offers clear views of the Ganesh, Shingri, and Kutang Himal.
Namrung trek to Lho
Lho Trek to Samagau (Ryo)
Samagaun - After breakfast, embark on a short trek to Sama (Ryo). Stop in Shyala to enjoy the breathtaking 360-degree Himalayan view. Continue the journey to Sama (Ryo), where you’ll have dinner and stay overnight in the village.
Traveler’s Note: Sama is more commonly known as Samagaon, with “gaon” meaning village. Today, incredible views of Manaslu, Himal Chuli, Nadi Peak, Naike Peak, Kutang Himal, and Pangbuche Himal await. Shyala, the first town encountered today, offers one of the best viewpoints in the region for a 360-degree mountain panorama.

Bimthang to Tilije
Bimthang - Enjoy breakfast in the village before departing. The day’s hike is mostly downhill. After about 4 hours, reach the village of Ghoa. Continue descending to Tilje, where you’ll have dinner and stay overnight.
Waking up early offers a stunning sunrise view from the teahouse. After crossing the world’s top peaks, arrive in Bimthang and begin the journey to Tilje. Tilje is a beautiful village with a rich local culture, offering good hotels and free Wi-Fi after crossing the mountain.
Tilije trek to Dharapani and drive to Besisahar by jeep
Besisahar - After breakfast, leave your hotel in Dharapani. Follow the trail to the small village of Dharapani, located at the confluence of the Marsyangdi and Trishuli rivers. The path winds through pine forests and several small villages.
Have lunch in Dharapani, then arrange a jeep to Besisahar, a drive of approximately 2 hours.
Arrive in Besisahar and check into your hotel.
Traveler’s Note: This marks the last day of the magnificent Manaslu circuit trek. After a 4-hour drive to Besisahar, enjoy the town’s good food and drinks, and plan for the days ahead.
Drive to Kathmandu or Pokhara by Tourist Bus
Kathmandu - After breakfast, you’ll be driven to your destination. Your guide and porters will return to Kathmandu. If time permits, consider spending a few nights in Pokhara, a beautiful tourist town in Nepal. Arrangements can be made for a transfer to Pokhara, or a return drive to Kathmandu if time is limited.
