  • Changu Narayan - 07:30 am: Begin your journey towards Changu Narayan Temple for sightseeing.

This temple is considered the oldest Hindu temple still in use in the Kathmandu Valley. Built in a two-tiered pagoda style, the main shrine is guarded by pairs of real and mythical beasts – elephants, lions, winged lions, and ram-horned griffons – and its roof struts feature intricate carvings of Tantric deities. Changu Narayan and its associated buildings were significantly affected by the 2015 earthquake; however, restoration is underway.

  • Bhaktapur Durbar Square - 08:30 am: Drive to Bhaktapur Durbar Square.

09:00 am: Start your sightseeing of Bhaktapur Durbar Square.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square is a living representation of how the entire Kathmandu Valley looked during medieval times. Its glorious architecture, sky-high pagoda-style temples, fine clay pottery, and massive royal courtyards date back to the 12th century. Devotees still celebrate their historic festivals with great enthusiasm.

  • Kathmandu Durbar Square - 11:30 pm: Drive back to Kathmandu.

12:30 pm: Arrive at Kathmandu Durbar Square, where your expert guide will take you to lunch and start sightseeing.

Kathmandu is an incredibly diverse historic city with breathtaking Newari architecture, centuries-old Hindu and Buddhist religious sites, and tourist-friendly accommodations and restaurants. Stepping into Kathmandu is like stepping into another world that everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime.

  • Swayambhunath - 02:30 pm: Sightseeing of Swayambhunath Stupa and drive back to Patan Durbar Square.

Find peace and prayers on the little hillock of Swayambhunath in the northwest of the Kathmandu Valley. Also known as the “Monkey Temple” among visitors, Swayambhunath sits atop its hill, overlooking most parts of the valley. This is a great place to catch panoramic views of the city. The site has stood as a symbol of faith and harmony for centuries. The glory of Kathmandu Valley is said to have started from this point.

  • Patan Durbar Square - 04:30 pm: Visit Patan Durbar Square and admire its beauty.

Once an independent and mighty kingdom of the Kathmandu Valley, Patan became a melting pot of Hinduism and Buddhism. Patan is just 5 km from the capital city, Kathmandu, but its preserved ancestral uniqueness makes it a different environment to experience. Patan, also known as Lalitpur, “City of Beauty,” is distinguished by its unique Durbar Squares, temples, alleys, cuisine, hospitality, and religious tolerance, justifying its historic status.

06:00 pm: Finish the sightseeing and return to your hotel.
