Negombo

Negombo Beach - Upon arrival, enjoy a warm welcome at the airport.
Travel to the hotel in Negombo (30 minutes).
Spend a few hours relaxing on the beach and stay the first night in Negombo.
Depending on your arrival time, explore Negombo’s attractions such as the Fish Market, enjoy the beach, and take an evening stroll along the main street.

Dambulla

Dambulla - Travel to Dambulla (3 hours).
Enjoy a 2-night stay in the Dambulla area.
While in Dambulla, visit the renowned Cave Temples and explore the local spice gardens.

Golden Temple of Dambulla - Embark on a hike to the impressive rock cave temples, home to large Buddha statues. A local tour guide will lead you through this magnificent ancient monastery carved into the rock. As with all temples, guests must dress appropriately, covering shoulders and legs.

Sigiriya

Sigiriya Craft Village - Experience a guided village tour. Ride a traditional bullock cart through a local village to a nearby lake. Then, board a traditional boat to cross the lake to a village house. Participate in a cooking demonstration and enjoy tasting the local cuisine you prepare.

Pidurangala Rock - This lesser-known hike offers breathtaking views of the main attraction, Sigiriya, from the peak of Pidurangala Rock. Visit around 4:30 pm to catch the sunset and enjoy the cool breeze while taking in panoramic views of the surrounding area.

Kandy

Kandy - Travel to Kandy (3.5 hours).
Spend 2 nights in the hill capital of Kandy.
While in Kandy, visit the Royal Botanical Gardens, the Temple of the Tooth Relic of the Buddha, Udawattakele Sanctuary, and more.

Royal Botanical Gardens - The driver will drop you off at the garden entrance, which features over 4,000 plant species, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants, and palm trees. The “National Herbarium of Sri Lanka” is also located here. Spend time strolling and discovering Sri Lanka’s flora and fauna.

Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic - Enjoy a guided tour inside what locals call Sri Dalada Maligawa, the second UNESCO World Heritage site on this journey. This beautiful temple, built during the Kingdom of Kandy era, houses a tooth of the Buddha. To enter, dress appropriately and remove your shoes. The Kandy Temple is also known for the annual Asela Perahera Festival in August.

Kandyan Cultural Centre - Stroll through Kandy city and the famous Kandy Lake. Visit the Cultural Center to witness a traditional Kandyan dance performance, then explore the gem museum and gallery.

Nuwara-Eliya

Nuwara Eliya - Travel to Nuwara-Eliya (3 hours).
Spend 1 night in Nuwara-Eliya.
Known as Tea Country and sometimes referred to as Little England, visit a tea factory and enjoy the many tea estates and waterfalls in the area. The cool climate means packing a sweater is advisable.

Ella

Ella - Take a train to Ella (3.5 hours).
The driver will drop you off at the train station.
Board the observation train from Nuwara-Eliya to Ella for a scenic journey.
Upon arrival, you will be picked up and driven to your hotel in Ella.

Spend the evening at Chill Cafe Ella.

Ella

Little Adam’s Peak View Point - Meet the driver early in the morning to begin the hike to the 1,141-meter-high peak. The climb is relatively easy, with a well-maintained path. Wear sports shoes for the hour-long climb. Enjoy panoramic views of lush mountains, waterfalls, and fields. On a clear day, you may even see as far as Sri Lanka’s southern coast from the peak.

Nine Arches Bridge - This famous bridge connects two large mountains along the Badulla-Colombo railway. It is a prime example of colonial-era railway construction in the country. Walk through tea fields and a local village to reach the bridge and watch a train pass by.

Spend the evening at Chill Cafe Ella.

Udawalawa

Udawalawa - Travel to Udawalawa (2 hours).
Spend 1 night in the wilderness of Udawalawa.
While in Udawalawa, explore the abundant wildlife, flora, and fauna.

Elephant Transit Home (ETH) - Visit during feeding times at 10:30 am, 2:30 pm, and 6:30 pm. Observe orphaned elephant calves being cared for and fed until they are strong enough to return to the wild.

Mirissa

Mirissa - Travel to the hotel in Mirissa (2 hours).
Spend 2 nights on the beaches around Mirissa.
Enjoy various beach activities such as scuba diving, snorkeling, and surfing. Visit the many beach bars and restaurants or dance the night away at a beach party.

Mirissa Beach - Enjoy a free day for surfing, swimming, and beach activities at Weligama Bay, Mirissa Bay, and Ahangama Bay. Relax by the beach.
