Quick explanations and tasting - We attended a short explanatory session on the making of traditional Gouda, in French, by Isabelle (hoping not to misrepresent her first name). The visit ends in the store with a wide choice of gouda, which can be tasted. The team is very friendly and there is a really good atmosphere within the cheese factory. At the same time, there is also a presentation section on the making of wooden clogs, also accompanied by its souvenir shop.

A hidden gem just outside of Amsterdam - A thoroughly enchanting place, we were greeted immediately on arrival and asked which language we would like the tour to be conducted in. Every single member of staff we encountered were utterly wonderful. The free engraving on souvenir clogs is a welcome bonus, the young person who engraved the clogs did so with such care and proficiency that it made them feel all the more special. The cheese sampling was absolutely delicious, the best thing about Simonehoeve is that there is no obligation to buy anything, no pushy sales tactics or expectations, it’s very much this is what we do and this is what we have, if you want to buy something you can, if not we hope you enjoyed your visit. I would recommend you visit and buy something though, I bought some delicious mustard and some souvenir clogs. I would absolutely love to come and visit again some day.

Excellent tour - Excellent private tour in English to learn the steps of making cheese, and a demonstration of making wooden shoes. Cheese tasting with so many choices, and we bought a few! Thanks for the tour, Leo!

Fantastic experience - We went as a group of five adults to the clog dancing workshop, and had a fantastic time! All the staff were extremely friendly, and the clog dancing in itself was an experience like no other! Great day out and much hilarity ensued. Thank you!

Look for something more authentic - The farm did not even have our booking and had to look it up on the computer but wanted to know how much we paid for it to decide what they were going to show/give us. Very basic, just a retail outlet to sell products. Not worth the effort to get to their location.

Was interesting to see... - Was interesting to see and taste all the different cheese however the talk about how they do it lasted about 10 mins - he rushed through and was very robotic in his presentation
