Good food great guide lots of info - What a fun and interesting way to spend a couple hours in the funky little town of Hanalei! We got to eat a great taco, a bowl of poke, try an island smoothie and drool over Hawaiian chocolate. Every tour can offer different foods but this was ours. Our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable. We not only learned about typical foods, but also gained an understanding of the town itself and the history of the Hawaiians in general.

An absolute must! - Max was so great! I would recommend this to anyone visiting Kauai. He was able to share so much knowledge of the island and Hanalei itself. He also provided other great places to check out. It was great that he even made himself available for a phone/text after the tour if we had any questions for other suggestions.

Didn't leave hungry! - I love the variety of food we were able to sample! The samples were NOT small. In fact, each one (2 of the 4) was a perfect lunch portion. Tasting local fair that are popular with the locals was great! Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and knew each guest by name by the end of the tour. I love that he highlighted local culinary talent and knew the history of each establishment.

Hanalei Food Tour - OMG. Max was amazing, knowledgeable, personable, friendly, and a great food tour guide. The food selection was on point. We can’t pick just one food. The food from Hanalei Taro & Juice Company to the chicken at the Village Snack Shop & Bakery to Aloha Juice Bar (bring on the dole whip, smoothie, and acai bowl), and the best chocolate bon bon at Chocolate Hanalei. Highly recommended!!
