• Kukui Grove - Embark on a journey into Hawaii’s culinary delights. Visit Kauai Bakery for a delightful mid-morning treat. Experience the famous malasadas, also known as Portuguese donuts, filled with a variety of flavors. Additional pastries and coffee will also be available.
• Poipu Beach Park - Following the delicious pastries, proceed to the stunning Poipu Beach Park to look for Hawaiian green sea turtles and monk seals. While sightings are not guaranteed, the experience is always rewarding.
• Spouting Horn - Travel through the picturesque tunnel of trees to reach the renowned Spouting Horn, an extinct lava tube transformed into a water geyser. Witness the awe-inspiring force of nature as waves crash and water surges through the tube. Your guide will narrate the legend of the site, complete with sound effects.
• Waimea Canyon State Park - Discover one of Kauai’s treasures, Waimea Canyon State Park, often referred to as the “mini Grand Canyon of the Pacific.” Enjoy three stops, including the main lookout at an elevation of 3,400 feet. Admire the Canyon from different perspectives and catch a distant view of the Forbidden Island of Niihau. Numerous stories will be shared, and stunning photos will be captured.

• Waimea Plantation Cottages - Around 12:00 pm, explore the charming grounds of the Waimea Plantation Cottages, established in the early 1900s during the sugar plantation era. Overlooking the azure Pacific Ocean and surrounded by tropical trees, savor a delicious lunch at the renowned Chicken in a Barrel. Enjoy a beer from their selection of over 10 options or a cocktail, as you won’t be driving. Take a leisurely stroll through the property to visit Waimea Bay, one of the few black sand beaches, and the site of Captain Cook’s first landing in Hawaii.
• Kauai Coffee Company - Step into the enchanting world of coffee at the largest plantation in the USA. Enjoy complimentary samples of various roasts at the visitor center, wander through the coffee tree garden, and shop for the freshest beans. Not a coffee fan? Indulge in ice cream or a refreshing beverage at the snack shop.

Kauai Highlights offers a small group tour led by a local family business. It’s the perfect choice for a shore excursion, providing excellent value for money. Shared tours are available only on Thursdays, while private tours can be booked from Monday to Saturday.

Participants will embark on a journey to experience the best of Kauai. Witness the awe-inspiring power of nature as legends, history, culture, and the geology of the islands are shared. The day is filled with numerous leisurely stops, along with opportunities to enjoy local cuisine and shopping.

• Wear comfortable clothing, good walking shoes, hat or cap and sunglasses.
• If you weigh 300 lbs and up please contact us so we can make arrangements to give you an extra seat. There will be an additional fee for this.
• No refunds pass the 24 hours prior to the start of the tour.
• In consideration for on time guests and our after hours duties we are unable to wait for late arrivals.
• We can drop off guest at the cruise port at 3:30pm, and the airport.
