Highlights

There is a reason Kauai is considered the garden isle – lush jungle, scenic waterways and cascading waterfalls surrounding dramatic volcanic mountains create the perfect image of a tropical getaway. While there are many ways to explore this incredible gift of natural beauty, kayaking offers a special opportunity to experience the many facets of this island paradise in one fun adventure. You kayak exploration of the Wailua begins with a two-mile paddle up Kauai’s only navigable river. Your friendly, local guide will help you find the best routes as you pass through the Kamokila Village and towards the north fork of the river. You’ll learn stories of some of the earliest Hawaiians who first paddled up the river more than 1,500 years ago. You’ll hop off your kayak for a moderate hike through lush rain forest along the secret falls trail head until you come to a 120-ft cascade plummeting down a mountain cliff. Once you complete your hike, it’s time for lunch. Choose from a variety of healthy and delicious options, including vegetarian, as you picnic along the river and enjoy the good life. After you’ve finished your meal, it’s time to shake off the lethargy and paddle back to your starting point to finish your tour, share photos, and prepare for your next adventure. Great tour with Gabriel - We had a final tour with Gabriel and while sadly it was his last day, you wouldn’t have known by what a great job he did. Water at the waterfall was cold, hike to the waterfall was hot and it’s a workout on the way back so dress accordingly. The waterproof bag was great for holding our lunch and towels. Overall we’d highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Amazing Experience! - This was by far the best way to start our Honeymoon! We had Levi as our tour guide and he was amazing about sharing the Hawaiian culture, including everyone, and making sure everyone stayed safe! The views on both the kayak and hiking trip were amazing! The hike was very gentle but I do recommend water shoes as you’ll walk through rivers!

True Hawaiian Experience - Levi our guide set a high bar!!! Finally on our 4th day our trip felt like we were actually on a Hawaiian island. A native himself he made the day perfect!! He makes his tours unique by blowing through a conch shell, sharing native chants and stories as we entered the tropical space. Waterfall amazing, trek into the falls beautiful. A must see.

Great trip - Great trip kayaking and hiking. Nathanial told us about different plants and nature along the way. I would recommend this tour. Our day was very dry and the trail was too. This could be more challenging on a wetter trail.
