Fun time - Our tour guide Justice was super friendly and patient. We went kayaking up and down the river and had opportunities to take pictures. Snorkeling in the bay was a lot of fun.

Safe kayak trip on your own - We rented kayaks on our own which I highly recommend.But if you get a paddle board beware, it is very hard to power up river.Someone felt very tired and numb at the end.So I do not recommend paddle board.Do a kayak. You can see the waterfalls on the mountain.Pretty much all the way up the river.We did not go to the beach area because that is easily accessible by car. We also kayaked to secret falls.And I recommend this one instead.Secret falls was very crowded and very expensive.

Best kayak excursion ever - Koa, amazing guide that lead us from the Hanalei river/bay to Hideaways beach for snorkeling and lunch. Koa explained history of the area and most importantly how to paddle thru the waves to get to Hideaways. He is si fun and friendly and I definitely plan on bringing more visiting friends to this excursion.

A little bit of everything - We were originally planning to do ocean kayaking with another company but the waves were too high. We were able to switch to this last minute and it was more laid back tempo. Also nice that they offer pickup in Princeville if you call them. Most of the tours require you to travel closer to Kapaa so if you are staying in north shore, we found this company and one other near Princeville. They provide needed equipment and dry bags. Justice, our guide, was a great teacher for the ocean kayaking. We had kayaked before but never ocean kayaked. If you want more of that type of adventure they have other tours but the high waves can cause it to cancel. It was cold on the day we went so snorkeling with wet suit or skins would have been more comfortable. We saw lots of turtles, though!

Our guide, Harrison, was... - Our guide, Harrison, was awesome! So fun and knowledgeable about Kauai. A perfect half day adventure.

Fun! - Great snorkeling! Leader was friendly, knowledgeable and fun! We learned a lot about different plants and sea life.

Michael F was our tour... - Michael F was our tour guide and he was the best. Honestly, the man is a Zen Master who also does Kayak tour guiding on the side. It helped that the north part of the island is as beautiful as a place I have ever been. It's a must.

Awesome, beautiful - The guide (jay) was very knowledgeable about the island. He was very friendly and helpful, the tour was awesome water was great and the scenery is beautiful, would definitely recommend and do it again

Family holiday trip in Hanalei - My family had a WONDERFUL trip with Jay and Nova (guide in training). Jay pointed out all the flora & fauna and had so much knowledge on the island. We saw 2 sea turtles taking a “bath” in the Hanalei River and even though the sea was rough we kayaked out into the waves and had a great beach day in the bay. We will do this again next trip!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - Our family of 5 were booked on the 8am Blue Lagoon Paddle and Snorkel tour on Tuesday 11 June. This did did not even come close to meeting our expectations. Our family has done quite a lot of Kayaking and therefore experience was not an issue. We were expecting to explore the Hanalei Bay via Kayak. This was not the case. For the 4 hour tour we were in the kayaks for less than 1 and half hours. Most of this time was in the river. We were excited to finally get into the bay as this is what we wanted to explore. This was cut short when we were made to dock at a beach just around the corner from the month of the river. When questioned why we were going further we were advised it was due to safety reasons. Even though it was a very calm day with next to no break we were advised that it was too rough. We were expecting to go to hideaway bay. Instead we spent 2 and half hours bored on a beach that was in front of a resort. The area was not suitable for snorkelling. (in most places it was only knee deep.) We questioned our guide on the day and he mentioned that this is only as far as they go. We also emailed while on the tour to express our dissatisfaction and got no response. I have since been in contact with them and they advised that the condition on the day were not suitable to go further than around the corner but instead of cancelling or rescheduling the tour they had it go ahead. This company does not care about your experience it is only money grabbing. This tour is false advertising.
