We invite families with younger children to visit our new Lydgate Chocolate Tasting Room in downtown Kapaa: now open Monday – Friday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

FAR surpassed our expectations!! - What an amazing experience. Our tour guide Jess was friendly, knowledgeable, and informative. The whole experience was the perfect balance of walking, sitting, enjoying the farm and the gorgeous setting. The chocolate was out of this world! And there was plenty of it. It was a surprise to also taste various fruits and their home grown honey.
Jess MADE the experience! We really feel like we lucked out with this tour! HIGHLY recommend!!

Wonderful chocolate tasting tour - Excellent tour guide with lots of details on chocolate and differences between each types, tasting samples each one. Plenty of companion plants and flowers explained during the tour.

One of the best things we did on the island! - What a wonderful way to spend part of your day on Kauai. We did the 3 hour farm tasting tour and really enjoyed it. We learned some about the island and a lot about chocolate! Jess our guide did a fantastic job of educating and entertaining at the same time plus lots of sampling! Highly recommend.

We had a great time! The... - We had a great time! The guides are super knowledgeable and even though it’s a longer tour, you don’t get tired. My husband was hesitant about the experience because he normally doesn’t like dark chocolate, but he ended up absolutely loving all the tastings. Very fun and informative, and I’d recommend for family’s with children 10+.

Great tour with fantastic tour guide - Our guide, Alex was excellent. So knowledgeable and a great story teller. We had a pretty good sized group of people in the tour. Some who had children and Alex kept them entertained and yet so much information as well. Wonderful tour. Highly recommend.

Worth the time and money - This was a very fun and informative tour. I have a whole new appreciation for craft chocolate and cocao farming. Well worth it for kids and adults. And we tasted a lot of different chocolates and native fruits.

Very informative tour - Took this tour with my wife, 7 year old daughter and mother and it was a perfect family tour. We learned a lot about the nuances of chocolate and got to sample tons of different varieties. Also got to eat some delicious fruits we’ve never even heard of as well as different varieties of honey. Beautiful views and scenery on the farm. A little bit of walking involved but nothing crazy. Mostly just sitting and listening and eating chocolate. Our guide was Melanie (Mel) and she did a phenomenal job describing everything and was very enthusiastic about it. You could tell she really likes chocolate.

Not your average chocolate tour. So much more!!! - Holy WOW! This far exceeded our expectations! This is not just any chocolate tour, they take you through the process of farming chocolate step by step while exploring the plantation and lush botanical gardens with many stops along the way for exotic fruit and of course, SO MUCH CHOCOLATE!! Part of what made this so enjoyable was our guide Brooke who was so interactive & amazing! She is obviously very passionate about her job at the farm and was not afraid to be her goofy self which endeared her to us even more! Highly, highly recommend!!!

Exquisite Chocolates With A Lesson - How much chocolate can you eat? The whole thing. I'm a chocoholic, and I was full when we finished. This is a three-hour tour of how chocolate is made by the only gold-medal-winning chocolate business in Kauai (and the only chocolate business in Kauai). The gold medal was a National Medal! You taste their chocolates and then chocolates from elsewhere and you immediately taste the exquisite difference!! To say the least, we loaded up before we left!
