Must Do on Kauai! - I live here on Kauai and have been told by many how awesome the tour was. I finally had a chance to check it out with my mom visiting from the mainland. It was a super rainy day, which contrary to popular belief, was the perfect time to go. As many know, activities can be limited on Kauai with bad weather, but the tour was perfectly prepared with a warm welcome, umbrellas, incredible one of a kind chocolate and a beautiful canopy packed property of lush jungle vibes. Samuel was our tour guide, he was the ABSOLUTE BEST, full of knowledge, good dad jokes and lots of aloha ;) I learned so much about cacao plants, the island flora and of course, some of the best chocolate in the world (not just an opinion, a fact, and they have excellent awards to prove it). Highly highly recommend!

Educational and tasty - Our guide Mason was outstanding. Knowledgeable doesn't cover how he could make botany so interesting. He was funny and friendly. The tour itself ran over a bit so we were stuck at 230 with either having a late lunch or skipping dinner. Lots of work goes on behind the scenes to prepare the food samples and chop all that chocolate. Each tasting venue on the lovely grounds featured chairs, bug spray, hand sanitizer, water. And disposal buckets for food scraps, paper and trash. We left the tour appreciating all that goes into making artisan chocolate and knowing the difference between the chocolate of our youth and what is available globally today. But especially the wonderful chocolate here in kauai. Tour is pricey but we'll worth it.

Sweet Llydgate chocolate farm tours - The farm is so special it was a very educational and interesting tour. There are so many things to learn about not only chocolate but the growing process of the farm. The 3 hrs went by like nothing because our guide Jenna was so good. She was knowledgeable about the farm, and growing and making chocolate there was .so much chocolat to taste we turned away some at the end ( I never thought I would say that)!
Highly recommend taking the tour and buying some chocolates 🍫
There is a special vibe at the farm-the staff all seemed like family.
Easy wallking tour. Definitely recommend.

Fun, educational and delicious! - It is not what we expected, but better!
It is a gentle walking tour of a working cacao farm with frequent stops to taste fruits, smell the fragrances of exotic plants, and of course sample a variety of chocolate.
It is guided by an expert farmer. Mason was our guide and he is an encyclopedia of cacao and botanical information and hilarious in how he presents the information.
It was fun, educational and delicious!

Fabulous chocolate tour - There are not enough positive words to describe this tour. Part, chocolate, part tropical fruit, part botanical, 100% enjoyable and educational. Our guide, Henry, was so knowledgeable, passionate and witty. If you’re on Kauai, DON’T MISS this opportunity. You won’t regret it, despite the price tag. Dispel negative reviews, they are simply misguided!

Chocolate- Not to be missed! - The tour was AMAZING!!! Had lower expectations after snorkeling, Napali Coast, ATVing, it seemed like it would be lesser than. We were WRONG!! First out guide Jess was so full of energy, enthusiasm and love of chocolate it set the tone right away. Second, the tour STARTS with tasting chocolate!!! How could that be a bad thing. It’s delicious chocolate and that’s from a self proclaimed chocolate snob 🤣 The grounds are beautiful and there is so much knowledge and information about the growth of chocolate- and tasting every step of the way. In addition, the grounds are full of fruit and tastings of the fruit! The three hours flew bye and of course it finished with—- chocolate tastings. 11 different types and if there was something you liked seconds were encouraged!!! The farm is absolutely about family and Jess made us feel like a part of the family while we were there. While swimming with turtles and dolly was a crazy cool highlight I will never forget, DO NOT PASS ON THIS TOUR. Bought chocolate at the end of the tour but didn’t over do it because the ship all over. We will definitely be supporting this farm and small businesses when we buy more once we return home!
