Great time - My son and I went we both got about 10 fish together. Would definitely recommend! We can both snorkel so they were able to accommodate him at 10 years old.

Must try! - This is a must! I'm a diver and a crabber visiting from the Bay Area. Naturally I wanted to try some sort of fishing activity. Christian's communication was thorough. He communicated early and was very detailed about what you need, where to be, and how to get there. Aidden was our guide and he did an awesome job. There was only 4 of us but he did a great job keeping track of all of us. He was also detailed with the use of the 3 prong as well as informing us of what fish we could catch and not catch. This included pictures so you could actually see what you should be avoiding. Even though I didn't catch anything I had an awesome time and definitely recommend. Be sure to wear a rash guard or a shirt as entry can be pretty shallow. Thanks again guys and see you next time!

Fun, exciting, challenging, beautiful - I am 48 years old and I'm in very mediocre physical shape. I have a lot of experience in surf and in the water. I didn't think I would actually be out for the full 90-120 minutes you spend in the water, but I was so excited that I could've gone longer. It is the water equivalent of bow hunting only you get to take more shots. If you hunt you know. Pro's- great instructor and supportive on the water. Exciting to hunt on the reels and the instructor kept us in a shallow safe area. Con's very challenging activity no guarantee of harvest. A lot of info to take on one trip. Suggestions - do your homework. Learn a few of the fish and watch a few videos on YouTube before your trip out. It will help with the amount of learning on the spot. - take good fins. I used cheap Amazon fins. You can do that but we were fighting a little bit of current so I found myself wishing I had better dive fins - practice snorkeling prior. If you're not familiar with snorkeling or you haven't done it in a while I would take a few trips to the water prior to going so you get more out of your fishing experience. Overall- I would do this again if I had it to do over. I love that I now have this skill to bring with me when I return to the islands. The equipment is relatively inexpensive and I absolutely loved doing it. Like anything else there are levels to this sport, but made simple it can be very entertaining and who doesn't love a great fresh catch to plate seafood dinner or lunch! Mahalo to Christian for sharing his knowledge and love of this traditional Hawaiian activity.

It was AWESOME - A friend and I scheduled this last minute while on vacation with our families. This was awesome! Christian was knowledgeable and knew what areas were safe for those who have never snorkeled or spear fished. Highly recommend this and best part is, we went home with a few fish to show our wives we caught something. Thanks again Christian!

Great experience - I've always wanted to try this and when I discovered it, I jumped at the chance. Our instructor Tui is the quintessential Hawaiian guide who takes extra measures to make sure you get the real Hawaiian experience but has your safety in mind. Besides the spear fishing instruction, he gave us a demonstration of how to break open two types of coconuts which was fun to watch. You definitely want to bring your own fins or rent (recommendations from Christian $5-10$/day: Kapaa Beach Shop, Snorkel Bobs (Kapaa), Pedal N Padal (Hanalei), Boss Frogs (Poipu)). Instructors provide one size fits all mask, snorkel, gloves. Optional to wear rash guard to protect yourself from scratches. It would also be helpful to be in somewhat decent shape as there's a lot of swimming/snorkeling after all. My brother and I highly enjoyed this - one off the bucket list!

This was an amazing,... - This was an amazing, super fun experience! Christian was an excellent guide and made the learning experience easy and fun! He even sent us home with delicious home-made salsa on top of the fish we caught. This has been one of our favorite activities in Hawaii!

Great Experience Cut Short For Unknown Reason - I really love the experience, but they called us back to shore and ended things about half way through. So we paid for 3 hours but we were back to the car about an hour and a half after we started. I would have wished to stay the whole time - I was very confused why we had to go back as the weather was still perfect and the instructor was still fishing himself. Very confusing, but again, we enjoyed the experience while it lasted.
