Amazing ! - We did hesitate a long time to know if an overview flight of Kauai was worth it or no. We finally booked with “wings over Kauai” and we are glad we did. On this season your options to have a glimpse of the amazing Napali coast are limited, and it is really worth it to see it, after you’ve come so close. Besides the price difference between a helicopter ride and the airplane one I really suggest the airplane although you do not have the “wahoo impression of the helicopter” because : - You are sure to have a window seat - the amazing views you’ll have require more distance than upclose We did choose the Cessna tour as we were two. Our experience was great from the welcome desk to the landing. We really got an overview of the whole Kauai island with beautiful scenery. Our pilot, Brooke gave us a very smooth ride and useful information while flying over the island. She was great. Because many places of the island cannot be seen from the ground Kauai really deserves to be seen from the sky. Wings over Kauai is really a very good option (the best ?) to reach that goal. Mahalo for the experience and the amazing views.

GREAT bird's eye view of Kauai! - We came in early November after Kauai reopened due to COVID. We had a reservation for a 10:30 a.m. flight, but the winds were too strong. They called us and suggested that we push it back a few days, when the weather is better. I appreciate that they had our safety in mind. We came back and did the 9:00 a.m. Cessna flight for 2 people on Saturday, Nov. 14th. Ellen in front was super nice and checked us in. Marcus was our pilot and he was super friendly and knowledgeable. The flight was super smooth and very enjoyable. They play different music on an iPad that matches each part of the island. Marcus gave us great narration over each part of the island. We saw lots of waterfall and the NaPali Coast was spectacular! This was much cheaper than taking a helicopter flight and we were very happy with it!

Kauai Cruise Stop. Part 3 - Ellen fetched me from the designated pick up point for cruise ship passengers and brought me to the airport. After details were explained we took off for our one-hour flight over Kauai. Marcus was our pilot. His cool voice describing the landmarks with traditional Hawaiian music playing on the background will minimize any anxiety flying on a small plane. I felt relaxed during the whole flight. The plane had an intercom system wherein passengers and pilot could talk to one another. I went on a land tour of the coffee plantation and the Waimea canyon the day before. Hence, I had a comparison of the sights to be seen. Even if it was a bit cloudy on our morning flight, this is the best option for seeing Kauai. What I saw of the Waimea canyon park was only a fraction of the area on the lookout point. On the air tour, you get to enjoy the whole canyon and its surrounding mountains. This flight enables you to see the Na Pali coast, the most beautiful scenery of the Hawaiian Islands. The cathedral like spires were truly stunning. We next flew over a tall dormant volcano with thick forest cover. Seeing numerous waterfalls was a bonus. Thank you for an unforgettable experience Ellen and Markus.

WINGS OVER KAUAI IS A "MUST DO" - Our entire experience with WINGS OVER KAUAI was amazing. The people are receptive and easy to work with and the flight - well - there ARE NO WORDS!!!! Kauai is beautiful from land and sea but to view the Island at her most breathtaking is to fly. I have flown over the Grand Canyon, hot air balloons over the Valley of the Kings in Egypt and the Bagan temples in Myanmar and many, many other airborne adventures and WNGS OVER KAUAI is at the top of my "must do" list for anyone coming to wonderful Kauai. BIG MAHALO to ELLEN & CAPT. PARKER !!!

Beyond our expectations! - Wow, what a gift we were given through Wings Over Kauai. Starting with the friendliness of Ellen, onto the no safety care by Val and onto the great competency of Parker in the air, we were in great hands. The beauty and majesty of Kauai can only be experienced by the close views from the air. We knew we’d have some spectacular sights but hadn’t expected the valleys, waterfalls, and coastline to give us such stunning memories. We are humbled by the beauty of this island and thankful for the professionalism of these great folks. Everyone needs to experience a birds eye view of Kauai and Wings Over Kauai is the smart move to find your own memories.

The only way to see the island in a short time is this or a helicopter. - Ok, in all honesty a bit underwhelmed. The flight is not surprisingly a bit bumpy so if you suffer motion sickness be warned. There are 6 available seats but two of them are on the left of the plane when 90% of what there is to see is on the right. They put my son in a left side seat for weight distribution reasons and he saw nothing. In fact he fell asleep as a reaction to boredom and the motion of the plane. We requested a change of seats for him but this was apparently not possible once we had taken off and realised the circumstances. The views are great for those seated on the right and it’s probably the only way you can see so much of the island in a short time. Obviously helicopter would be another option. I would say go ahead and do it but recognise the concerns I have highlighted.

Never been so frustrated... Left side passengers is sh*t - There are 6 passenger seats, 4 on the right and 2 on the left. If you are on the right then it's awesome ; if you are on the left, then it's sh*t. You will miss 80% of the views since they keep the best for the right side passengers. Never been so frustrated to know it's awesome but cannot see it because the view is blocked by the right side passengers back or because you angle from the left side is too tight to see what's in the right side ....
