• Spouting Horn - The journey kicks off with a scenic drive through the renowned Poipu Tree Tunnel, leading to the stunning Spouting Horn, a dormant lava tube transformed into a water geyser. Witness the awe-inspiring force of nature as waves crash against the shore, sending water surging through the tube. The guide will enchant you with the site’s legend, complete with sound effects.
• Hanapepe - Next on the itinerary is a visit to the delightful and historic town of Hanapepe. Here, there’s time to cross the iconic swinging bridge, constructed in 1912, savor pastries at a local bakery, and explore local art galleries and souvenir shops. Disney fans will recognize this as the town from Lilo & Stitch.
• Waimea Canyon State Park - Waimea Canyon State Park, a jewel of Kauai, is often called the mini Grand Canyon of the Pacific. The tour includes three stops, featuring the main lookout at an elevation of 3,400 feet. Enjoy views of the Canyon from different perspectives and catch a glimpse of the Forbidden Island of Niihau in the distance. Expect to hear fascinating stories and capture stunning photographs.

• Waimea - Around 12:30-1 pm, the tour proceeds to the picturesque Waimea Plantation Cottages, established in the early 1900s during the sugar plantation era. Overlooking the azure Pacific Ocean and surrounded by tropical trees, enjoy a delicious lunch at the renowned Chicken in a Barrel, home to the island’s largest beer wall. Take a leisurely stroll through the property to visit Waimea Bay, one of the few black sand beaches, and the site of Captain Cook’s first landing in Hawaii.
• Kauai Coffee Company - Post-lunch, prepare to explore the enchanting world of coffee at Kauai Coffee Co., the largest plantation in the USA. Sample a variety of roasts for free at the visitor center, wander through the coffee tree garden, and shop for the freshest beans at their gift shop. Not a coffee fan? Delight in ice cream or a cold beverage at the snack shop.

Kauai Highlights offers a small group tour led by a local family business. It’s the ideal tour for a shore excursion, providing excellent value for money. Shared tours are available only on Thursdays, while private tours can be booked from Monday to Saturday.

Participants will embark on a journey to explore the highlights of Kauai’s South and West. Experience the awe-inspiring power of nature as legends, history, culture, and the geology of the islands are shared. The day is filled with numerous leisurely stops, along with opportunities to enjoy local cuisine and shopping.

• If you weigh 280 lbs and up please contact us so we can make arrangements to give you an extra seat. There will be an additional fee for this.
• No refunds pass the 24 hours prior to the start of the tour.
• In consideration for on time guests and our after hours duties we are unable to wait for late arrivals.
• We can drop off guest at the cruise port at 3:30pm, and the airport.
