Enjoy complimentary samples of various roasts at the visitor center, wander through the coffee tree garden, and shop for the freshest beans. Not a coffee fan? Indulge in ice cream or a refreshing drink at the snack shop.
• Waimea Canyon State Park - Waimea Canyon State Park is a true treasure of Kauai, often referred to as the mini Grand Canyon of the Pacific. The tour includes three stops, featuring the main lookout at an elevation of 3,400 feet. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Canyon from different perspectives and catch a glimpse of the Forbidden Island of Niihau in the distance. Expect to hear fascinating stories and capture stunning photographs.

• Waimea - Around noon, visit the picturesque Waimea Plantation Cottages, established in the early 1900s during the sugar plantation era. Overlooking the blue Pacific Ocean and surrounded by tropical trees, savor a delicious lunch at the renowned Chicken in a Barrel. Enjoy a beer from their selection of over 10 options or a cocktail, as you won’t be driving. Take a leisurely stroll through the property to explore Waimea Bay, one of the few black sand beaches, and the site of Captain Cook’s first landing in Hawaii.
• Spouting Horn - Post-lunch, explore the famous Spouting Horn, an extinct lava tube turned water geyser. Witness the awe-inspiring power of nature as waves crash and water surges through the tube. Your guide will share the legend of the site, complete with sound effects.
• Koloa - Following the Spouting Horn, proceed to Koloa Landing, renowned for snorkeling and shore dives due to the abundance of Hawaiian Green sea turtles. Search for these turtles from the shoreline, as we will not be entering the water. Turtle sightings are not guaranteed. Conclude the tour with a scenic drive through the Eucalyptus Tunnel of Trees in Koloa.

Kauai Highlights offers a small group tour led by a local family business. It’s the ideal tour for a shore excursion, providing excellent value for money. Shared tours are available only on Thursdays, while private tours can be booked from Monday to Saturday.

Participants will embark on a journey to explore the highlights of Kauai’s South and West. Experience the awe-inspiring power of nature as legends, history, culture, and the geology of the islands are shared. The day is filled with numerous leisurely stops, along with opportunities to enjoy local cuisine and shopping.

• If you weigh 300 lbs and up please contact us so we can make arrangements to give you an extra seat. There will be an additional fee for this.
• No refunds pass the 24 hours prior to the start of the tour.
• In consideration for on time guests and our after hours duties we are unable to wait for late arrivals.
• We can drop off guest at the cruise port at 3:30pm, and the airport.
