Embark on a guided adventure in Kauai that’s perfect for the whole family, involving kayaking across the riveting Wailua river valley and hiking to the Uluwehi falls, better known as Secret Falls. Our professional tour guide will accompany you as you paddle through some of Kauai’s most revered waterways and trek through its stunning tropical forest, weaving myths, legends, and snippets of Hawaiian history into the journey towards the Secret Falls.
- We depart immediately after check-in so no late arrivals will be permitted
- Not recommended for participants with recent back, knee or ankle injuries
- No open wounds
- Participants must be in good physical condition and able to hike approximately two miles through rocky, muddy and slippery terrain
- Must wear shoes that are secure to your feet. No flip flops.
- Please bring plenty of water.
- Other recommended items to bring: swimsuits, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, snacks, and a towel.
- Ziploc bags should be used for cell phones or cameras that are not waterproof
- No alcohol
- Age restriction is 13-59
- Not recommended for travelers with recent knee, ankle or back injuries

Turn off KUHIO hwy into the shopping plaza with the green building which is across the street from the Shell gas station. Look for the STAND UP PADDLE shop and Dukes Kayak Adventures sandwich board next to it. Feel free to park nearby and your guide will meet you and take care of you from there.

Beautiful day! - This was a great afternoon. Our guide Zack was very knowledgeable and fun. We especially liked his corny dad jokes He gathered at several stops to inform us about trees or flowers or rock and was quite informational. We kayaked to a beach where we pulled the kayaks up and then hiked to a beautiful waterfall where we had lunch.(you have to bring your own lunch) We then kayaked back, just be aware that sometimes the winds kick up and kayaking back against the wind can be tiring!

Adventurous and exciting! - Our guide was excellent! He was extremely knowledgeable ! We had a blast! I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone!

Wonderful experience with great local guide - This was great, a little bit of everything. The paddle was great exercise and the hike only had a little bit of mud. The waterfall was a refreshing experience at the end of the hike. Brian was an amazing tour guide, he shared wonderful bits of island history, plant facts and gave us lots of entertainment throughout the hike and paddle.

A great day! - The kayaking and hiking exceeded our expectations. Zach our guide was so knowledgeable and funny. He made the tour so much fun. It was just the perfect amount of kayaking and the hike was not difficult at all. Overall one of our favorite tours on Kaua’i.

Beautiful kayak and hike day!!! - So fun and majestic!!! Annie our guide was a blast. The kayak was smooth and beautiful. Got to the hiking part and it was so pretty. A little challenging for some. Lots of rocks to climb over but the falls once we got there just wow!!! Beautiful. Small group size and perfect!!!

A fantastic excursion... - This excursion was one of the highlights of our trip to Kauai. Our guide, Zack, was excellent, especially if you appreciate a good dad joke, as he had a never ending supply. He had an extensive knowledge of the local vegetation and animals and kept stopping to tell us about a plant or tree or bird. The river was beautiful to kayak. The scenery on the trail was equally as stunning. The waterfall at the end was a little underwhelming as it was a mere trickle, although the setting was spectacular. I felt like this excursion was about the journey, rather than the destination. Prior to booking, my wife and I debated whether it was worth spending the money to go on this excursion. In the end, we both agreed it was absolutely worth the price of admission. There were other companies doing the same tour, but watching their guides made it clear they did provide the same quality service with the extensive information on local flora and fauna that Zack offered. Zack had a gift for interacting with people that the others didn't seem to match. If you can book a trip with Zack, you will not be disappointed.

This trip had it all! Scenery, waterfalls, mud lol and laughter! Highly recommend! - Best experience of our vacation so far! We really enjoyed both the kayaking and hiking part of this day and loved learning about the Hawaiian culture and the diverse plant life in the area from our knowledgeable guide. Hawaiian Brian was an awesome host who kept our entire group engaged and laughing, while maintaining safety on the trail and water.

The experience is... - The experience is amazing, there is no better way to be in the nature than feeling it with this activity.
The river is gorgeous and the falls are just a place that fills you with energy.
Also, our guide Zack is amazing, full of energy, great coach, funny along the way and very insightful. He made the experience feel as if it was shorter.
