We are often greeted by a turtle nesting on the beach or a Hawaiian monk seal basking in the sun. What a wonderful experience from a distance, it is the law to keep within 50 feet of our endangered species. Learn more about our Hawaii ecosystem and identify an array of tropical fish. Great (Re) Introduction to Snorkeling Essentials - I hadn't snorkeled in decades, and this experience was a terrific re-introduction. We saw many beautiful fish and sea turtles.
The guide was very knowledgeable, patient, and fun. The lesson prepared me well for a lot more snorkeling as I continued on from Kauai to French Polynesia the following week :-)
I highly recommend this to anyone new to snorkeling or needing a refresher.

Excellent! - This is an incredible experience. Our guide, Brett, was super knowledgeable and made the experience fun. He also made us feel safe in choppy waters. We got to swim with 2 sea turtles and saw all types of reef life from eels to parrot fish! Highly recommend this tour. We loved not having to go out on a boat and the simplicity of just hopping in the water off shore!

Excellent tour for beginner (i.e. not confident) snorkelers. - This is an excellent snorkeling tour for first timers or other beginners not quite ready to go on more adventures outings. Our guide gave very detailed instructions (with demonstrations) on all the equipment and its usage. They have eye masks with different prescription strengths, a wet suite for those who want to use one, additional floatation gear etc.
In the waters by the shore, the host uses a very large boogie board with several handles along the periphery that the participants can hold on to, while he navigates around finding areas with different variety of fishes. This creates a secure environment and experience for those new to snorkeling and is another advantage of this tour. A couple of people let go of the boogie board to explore on their own (still had to stay within 20 feet), but most stayed with the board. The host was quickly and effectively able to help a couple of participants that had trouble using their equipment or having some general anxiety.
I highly recommend this experience for first timers or early snorkelers, although more experienced and confident snorkelers may find this somewhat basic.

Great snorkeling experience!! - We had an amazing time snorkeling at Lawai Beach! Our guide Lindsay was super nice and helpful; she helped us figure out our gear and pointed out a lot of the different fish to us while snorkeling. Our family with young kids were able to handle the swim pretty well. Overall, great experience and would definitely recommend!!

Reef in the rain - Anna was an amazing guide. We had a couple of kids in our group and she managed their shenanigans like a professional while ensuring that the rest of us had the best time. The sea cucumber was fun to interact with and the snorkel site didn't disappoint.

Z Tourz gave us a great afternoon of shore snorkeling with tons of colorful fish and sea turtles!! - This Christmas week, I had the joy of taking my two teen-age granddaughters shore snorkeling in South Poipu on Kauai with the Z Tourz guided tour company. It was a great day with beautiful weather and our guide, Anna, was fantastic. The event was extremely well organized with Anna providing us with a very thorough preparatory safety talk and explanation about how to use our snorkel gear. She showed us the variety of fish we would likely see and made certain that all our questions were answered.
Once in the water, she was continually watching over our group and kept us located over a fantastic variety of colorful fish and sea turtles. We have done several different tours this week and after each one, I ask my granddaughters to rate the trip. Of our several trips this week, Anna and the Z Tourz was the first to receive a 10 of 10 rating from both granddaughters and I agreed. It was a ton of fun.

Amazing first experience - First time ever snorkeling and Shane was so nice and patient with our family. We saw so many different fish and so many turtles. Highly recommended this tour for anyone! What a wonderful experience and great memories for our family.

Highly recommend for anyone - George was an excellent guide for us, he made our first time snorkeling experience a memorable one. We had absolutely no experience in water, George was kind enough to bear with us, he was helping get to the best spots, we were able to find all kinds of fishes, sea cucumbers, eels, green sea turtles, and numerous more. I know its also a matter of timing and luck to find all these creatures in a given area.

Guided Snorkeling without a boat - Good experience except for the rocks while getting out. You get scratched and hurt by them as the waves push you from standing up. Our guide warned us but it is not easy to anticipate. Snorkeling is like sticking your head in an aquarium- fishes of all patterns, colors and sizes with sea turtles, corals, sea cucumbers, sponges.
